Thank you for posting this. With the finances a bit tight (Phish this weekend at Bethel Woods, Roo in 3 weekends), I wasn't sure if I could swing going to MJ.
Welp, I just purchased my Groupon so I am officially going on a concert bender starting this saturday. Thanks again!

I've never been to MJ, does anyone know how late the late night shows can run? Umphreys is playing after Mule on Saturday and just wanted to get an idea how late they'd go on for?

Colonel's Hall late nights went about the same as the main stage late nights last year I believe. And Baconus, thanks for your insights on the VIP experience. Because of that review, my buddy and I are going VIP this year. Hope to see you there.
So I was there for the day. Really nice thing they got going up there. Some solid bands today. I ended up leaving at Mule's intermission, just so I could get out of town safely and not falling asleep through the death zone on 23A... yikes.
Note to self: next year get the full weekend pass... and a hotel room not all the way down by the Thruway. I think I'm already a third of the way home right now.
Anyway. Mavis Staples, Portugal The Man, Avetts. North Miss., Mule... all solid. Ended up going to the bar across the street during Franti/Spearhead to get dinner and some beers - and watch part of the Bruins choking another one.
Got autographs from the Avetts and North MS... sweet.
I only saw this when I got down to the bar during Franti/Spearhead. Might be worth watching tomorrow for some of the main acts... if you aren't up there.
