I just couldn't wait any longer to play Bloodborne, yet here I am just kind of fiddling around with the system itself. I'm sort of interested in Elder Scrolls Online though I've never been a huge online gamer, and I do want to get Diablo, Witcher, and maybe even Dragon Age for the system. I'm in the process of downloading Last Of Us, any free demos I should check out or anything of the like?

Just got a PS4 lads. The ~2 weeks I'm going to have to wait for shipping are about to be hell. Picked up GTA V, FIFA 15 (couldn't wait until 16), Witcher 3, Last of Us, and MKX for my first games.

I have sadly put 200-250 hours into Bloodborne. Its replay value is outstanding because you need to beat the game three times to get platinum... But then not to mention the extra optional areas and then co-oping with people for pve and pvp. It has easily become one of my favorite games of all-time next to Dark Souls, Skyrim, and the Zelda series. I am NG+5 now and each time you beat the game it gets harder (but you get more echoes to level up your character).
Two other great PS4 games: The Last of Us (you will love that one) and Shadow of Mordor (really surprised me and was my GotY last year).
You can do demos on PS Plus. I thought Dragon Age:I was pretty fun. I thought Diablo 3 was probably my least favorite PS4 game (and I've played quite a few bad ones). I also didn't care for Witcher 3 - the controls and cut scenes took away too much from the gameplay. Witcher 3 has a great story and graphics but it's not one I would ever recommend. It is popular, though.

I have so far invested about 10 hours into Bloodborne... I was absolutely certain I'd love it as Demon's Souls was my favorite PS3 game and an easy top 10 game of all time for me, maybe even top 5. Loved both Dark Souls games as well, though I've not gotten too terribly far into DS2. But man, this game is sooo different from those in some ways... at least, right now this early in the game it seems that way, but this seems like it may actually exist in the same "world" as Demon's Souls. The graphics are an absolute revelation, sound design is brilliant, map design is really good, too. And in previous souls games I was more of a magic user, and this game is forcing me to do more melee than I ever did in those games.
So far loving it. After looking more into games over the last few days, I think I'm going to wait on Witcher 3 for the price to drop a little, same with Dragon Age, and I guess Diablo... Bloodborne and Last of Us should be more than enough to hold me over for the next handful of months. I'll likely get FFXV day of release, and I think the next game I get that's already out will be Little Big Planet actually.

My favorite parts of Bloodborne are the optional quests, too... Cainhurst Castle and Upper Cathedral are so unique. Whoever created this game really invested a lot of thought into the world. It's a very offense-oriented game (no shields other than the wooden one) and I was surprised to find myself loving that aspect of the game. Let me know if you want to do any co-op or need help with a boss. Ebrietas and Amygala are rough after NG+3.

Im still loving the witcher 3. Also i just got arkham knight. It is good, but doesn't touch the first 2. Unless you're a big batman fan I suggest holding off until it is cheaper.
I as well was just gifted a ps4 for Father's Day. Came with a free download of Last of Us, but I went out and immediately bought Far Cry 4. And The Witcher 3 just arrived from gamefly. I wonder if my wife realizes that she made a mistake by getting me this.

Last of Us is amazing. One of the best games I've ever played. Play it with the lights off and volume up.

No way, I'm a baby when it comes to horror games. I did play and finish Last of Us, but I remember I couldn't finish Dead Space 2, and Gamefly sent me Dying Light on PS4 as a bonus game, I checked out a little of the walk through on youtube, and have been too scared to start playing it.

Best story I have ever experienced would be between Half-Life 2 & GTA IV.
Really?? I thought GTA IV was the weakest of the series.
VC (by a long shot) > SA / V > III > IV
I thought the story of IV was the strongest of the series, which is what I felt Rockstar was shooting for. A bit of a stripped down on the craziness that was present in SA, with a strong narrative. As far as game play mechanics, soundtrack, and overall scope/freedom, it wasn't my favorite.
(story): IV > VC > V > III > SA (gameplay): V > SA > VC > IV > III (soundtrack): SA > VC > IV > V > III

GTA IV's scale is a bit claustrophobic which makes it more realistic but does take away from the fun in some ways. Definitely appreciate it's story though more than the others. Also the tv show "I'm Rich" is the funniest thing they've done since talk radio stations on GTA3/VC. I might go out on a limb to say that 3 was my favorite of PS2 generation games because I felt like it was the most polished/balanced. The mechanics added in to sequels were definitely cool but more they tacked onto the more buggy it became until they began to seem more like really good tech demos. Part III also has the benefit of being the first one in 3D so that completely blew my mind at the time, especially the fact that they could get it so right their first time out. As the game worlds grew larger with the release windows staying the same the worlds seemed to me like they became less rich/detailed both in terms of the graphics/textures along with the various pop culture references/satire within the game.

Speaking of which, I fired up GTA 5 for the first time in months today. Nothing works for knocking the rust off your memory of the control scheme like forgetting which button you use to take cover in a firefight.
Man reading through this I realize I'm such a lame gamer. I hardly have time to play, but when I do its basically all halo4 or left 4 dead 2 on my 360.
Finally started Last Of Us today... holy crap, that opening sequence almost had me in tears. This is already proving to be something really special. Honestly, I'm playing it on easy to really enjoy the story and not worry about dying... I've got Bloodborne for that.

Last of us is amazing, and as a side note thank you ps plus for giving me the most addictive mini game for free this month.
I went to gamestop this morning and preordered the single available ps4 juggernog edition of black ops 3. My office will have a juggernog mini fridge this winter. I built a high end machine and I've basically only used it for w@w zombies, so I'm not so much a cod fan boy as an avid treyarch zombies nerd.
Has anyone tried Playstation Now? I saw that they have Nights Into Dreams for rent with the account, and I have been wanting to play that since back in the day when I got to try it at one of my few friends who had a Saturn back in the day. How often do they update their database, and is that enough to warrant a multi-month sub?

It honestly felt like I was playing a movie at times. I really loved that game. Playing it through again on PS4 on and off now.
All of you guys talking about The Last of Us just makes me sadder about the fact that it's an exclusive, and I can't play it on the One.....sigh.......

The ps4 was a difficult sell at first since I'd already invested in the xbone, but when last of us remastered came along I knew I had made the right decision(s)
