mine should be waiting on me when I get home given the postal service does what they do. I can't Wait!
I recently sold my house and couldn't find another one. that said, I'm temp in an apartment. that means I don't have to fix or do shit! plenty of free time
I got out of the vault and ran towards every shinny thing I could see.
Thank you for so succintly summing up exactly what I do in every sandbox game ever.
I knew I wanted to play Skyrim when I read about a guy who was going throughout the world and just eating everything he could. He had a video where he was eating butterflies and flowers and I got a few minutes in before I said "I need this game". Then I found out you can fight things.
If you have Amazon Prime - they have Fallout 4 and Tomb Raider $10 off.
I want Fallout 4 and Metal Gear: Phantom Pain....may be waiting on a package deal thing. I know Target was doing buy 2 get 1 free but I'm hoping to get a better deal (or the same) around Black Friday/xmas
Is no one else here playing Black Ops III? Cuz that's where large chunks of my weekend went... (No, I'm not angry homophobe/ misogynist/ racist, and surprisingly, I haven't run into many... yet.)
I had to force myself to stop playing earlier today... hit a point where I was just scrapping random items and building a settlement, not what I expected to be doing. So far, this game is really, really good (shocker) and it runs quite well on the PS4 aside from a few very minor frame rate problems in heavy combat (non sarcastic shocker). I've got tomorrow off, so I imagine I'll be doing much more exploration tomorrow.
Did not enjoy Battlefront beta at all. Won't be buying the game for quite a while unless it somehow is released to absolutely amazing reviews. No bother, Fallout will keep me plenty occupied.
Also recently picked up FIFA 16 (big improvement but still not 'great'), NBA 2K16 (MyGM has been keeping me up until like 3 AM every night), and Dying Light (super fun).
Do you have FIFA 16 on Xbox One? Do you play Ultimate Team?
FO4 did arrive and I had to wait until 8 to start playing. 5 hours later..who needs sleep right? 2 things are killing me
1 - building a settlement is not for me. theres no "snapping" into place when building where an existing house was. that drives me crazy, so I had to just walk away. 2 - where do I store my loot? I maxed my strength out and filled up within the first 2 hours of playing. I see I can drop off the junk at the town I started in(can't remember name), yet when you go to the gas station it isn't there too. any input?
Im also unsure how I want to distribute my points so I've not spent any of them yet.
And FYI, you can salvage and repurpose everything you pick up in this once. Which is like crack for people like us.
that's pretty much my playing style. every enemy in the game could be chasing me but if I see a box, I'm stopping to get whats in it lol
Well, I'm still out in the waste just looking at stuff so it's just random enemies. I just love walking around finding the random encounters and little shacks that often tell a visual story of what happened to the people there. I have ran into one encounter that set up an interesting moral dilemma but I wasn't at a high enough speech level to effect change. I won't go into details because I think the theme is going to play out larger in the main story but it had a very Philip K. Dick vibe to it.
Ohh, and I'm looking for electronic parts to build a radio. Then maybe get some power going.

Besides what that video showed, you can also build storage stations for all the junk you find... to keep better track of useful stuff like duck tape. I think it's tied into the community as well because my lady mentioned she should put someone in charge of it? Haven't gotten that far.
My basic Fallout build focuses on Intelligence, Perception and Agility. I focus early perks on lockpicking and hacking because those are things you use early and often. Then medicine and one gun skill set, usually rifle because I like to sneak and sniper shit.
Also, I love the radio stations so far. Mars: The Bringer of War is my new favorite walking song.

I'm 12 hours into fallout and only like level 8 or 9. Been stacking charisma and building houses. It is crazy time consuming but I love scrapping a site and building a compound up fresh, I'm sure it'll play a greater role later on when you have shit attacking your base.
I know most of yall are on ps4 so you're missing out on the goodness that is tomb raider. that game is the truth. God damn.

I actually just made the switch from PS4 to Xbox One a couple months ago. I got the first Tomb Raider when it was free for Xbox Live members last month but I'm yet to play that one.

I'm talking the rise of the tomb raider the new exclusive one that just came out yesterday. You made the right decision switching Sony has like zero games to look forward too. Mines been collecting dust since bloodborne came out. Not sure if you know to you'll be getting a update tomorrow for your xb1 that will allow for backwards compatability for 104 Xbox 360 games with more on the way plus a redesigned UI that's basically windows 10 on your Xbox. I've been in the preview for a month or so now and it's lightyears faster then the old UI and much quicker then ps4 clunky UI.

Oh for real? That's pretty awesome. Do you have a link or something to what games are allowed for the backwards compatibility?

My copy of FO4 came with a free download for 3, so I know that one works. That's pretty much all I know about current gen issues. My brother works at Gamestop so I don't know if I'm special for getting that copy or not?

I made 2 safes and one dresser. armor, guns, misc aid etc. I'm around 8hrs in and at lvl 9 I believe.
I put a lot into strength as I love to find stuff. I also put a lot into charisma. i'll pretty much build on that and then long rifle stuff. I still have 4 points to use also, just waiting to see how it all plays out.

Im pushing level 14, just spent 4 hours last night building and maintaining 3 settlements. I hate how you have to wait till Local Leader lvl 2 to link them, alot more back and forth. After getting the hang of building and power options, it it alot more fun. Such a A+++ from Skyrims HearthFire mod which allowed you no placement.

Yep all pre orders on Xbox 1 got a free copy of fallout 3 with it. That's gunna be happening for all the new games coming out on Xbox. Extra perk of buying on xb1. The new mass effect will do the same when it comes out.
if you didn't get a chance to play through South Park stick of truth, Alan wake, gears of war series, bioshock series, I suggest picking them up (none should be more then $10) now that backwards compat. Is in effect. I picked up South Park and Alan wake off ebay for 7$ each.
South Park game is great paper mario style rpg but looks like a episode of sourhpark and was written by matt stone and trey Parker. It's basically like two seasons worth of episodes in the game and tons of funny stuff.
