Just saw this on Reddit. How to save a ton of money at Target with the buy 2 get 1 free deal. I think that expires this weekend:
The buy-2-get-1 deal is valid online. Put 3 copies of Fallout in your cart (or Fallout + AC Syndicate + BlackOps 3 like I did). Apply promo code TGTA39R9 for $5 off $50 purchase. Download the Target Kids Wishlist app to your smart phone, make a wish list, then click the big link at the bottom of the app for the 10% coupon code. Apply 10% coupon code to Target.com cart. Pay with Red Card for another 5% off. Select Store Pickup and go get your games within about an hour. Total will depend on your local tax rate, but I got 3 brand new games for $103.70, or $34.57 each.
and
Make a college registry and add your games to it, within 24 hrs they email you a promo for another 15% off. I got 3 for $92.

Might end up doing this later if possible.
Very tempting. I only have a Wii U, but been meaning to get Splatoon, LEGO Jurassic Park and Mario Maker. But I can save that $100 for a new computer...welp.

I'm thinking Fallout 4, Black Ops II, and Phantom Pain. Full price games that are deep and will keep me occupied for well over a year. I tend to buy a few games around hte holidays every year and then just play those for a while.

Personally, I'd wait for Battlefront II over Black Ops not familiar with Phantom Pain.
Struggling with whether or not to buy Fallout 4. Haven't played any of the others and know I'll be occupied with the new Elder Scrolls expansion and Battlefront starting next week.

Really? You'd love it. I'll send you my download code for Fallout 3 if you want to try it.

If I were to swap any game it'd be Black Ops but I'm trying to get a full price new game so the deal is worth it and I enjoy zombies/online/campaign mode enough. I'm really going to be devoting all time to Fallout and Phantom Pain if I go through with the deal though.
Haven't played a ton of Battlefront to be honest. I have done the Force Unleashed games and those were fun but never had a good copy of Battlefront.
Couldn't not buy Fallout 4. Hope the hype is real.
I'm a huge fan of Skyrim and that open world setting. Fallout feels the same. I have done Fallout 3 a bunch and only a bit of New Vegas but in general the Fallout series has been great gaming for me. I love the depth of these kinds of games where you can really play it however you want and tailor your character a certain way to make gameplay different.
I think you'll like it. Stick it out. Change some of the basic controls (i've read the default controls feel weird for this game) and just explore. Usually what I do with these games is play through a bunch just winging it and then once I know more I go back and make a new character and really focus on one area/style. Thief or Warrior or Mage or whatever the fuck. In Fallout you can specify the type of guy you want to play as (sneaky, badass, charismatic good guy, evil bad guy) and I love that.
since FO4 has came out. I've slept 4 hours each night. work is getting in my way
I had to curfew myself to 2am this week....2:30 max if im in the middle of something sweet. Girlfriend is on night shift this weekend so I expect some hours to be put in.
I pretty much got everything covered in the top left of the map. Started moving East and enemies really jumped in level. A few things to get to over the water, and may could possibly hit Diamond City by Sunday.

Picked up Fallout on Saturday morning and have already logged about 20 hours. Don't think my lady friend was very thrilled to have spent her weekend with me.
I'm currently debating calling into work tomorrow.. or at least taking a 1/2 day.

I agree, and i don't even own an xbox one, rare replay is a hell of a deal, it has my favorite video game of all time on it (Banjo-Kazooie).
Been playing Ground zeroes on the ps4 and Splatoon on the wii u, getting excited for the Phantom Pain launch in 3 weeks.
Man I look back fondly on when I was hyped for that game, such a horrid disappointment. Thankfully the older Metal Gear games are still around and I can replay them at my leisure. I'll probably play the GameCube remake of the first game soon.
For now though, looking forward to Xenoblade Chronicles X, I was sold on the game after seeing the giant robot battling and customization, just 3 weeks to go!

I am planning to rejoin the world of console gaming in the near future. I'm going to get a ps 4. Which game should I get to start with? There is a destiny bundle and a battle fronts bundle. What are y'all's thoughts on this?

The Last of Us, GTA V, Uncharted bundle, Fallout, Witcher
All good places to start. Any one of those would keep you occupied for quite a while.
Destiny is okay, not really my thing so I can't comment. I didn't enjoy the Battlefront beta.

i don't like destiny. its really for people who always want another challenge, and will put hours and hours (i mean like playing the game for 6-7 hours a day) into the game. thats not me. the battlefront beta was awesome, and it only gave a very tiny portion of the game. you'll love it even if you're just a casual fan of star wars. i would go with battlefront.

Both games look pretty mediocre. I'd go with The Last of Us.
