Really can't wait for Red Dead Redemption 2. Will likely have to re-start a RDR campaign on my PS3 to hold me over.
You can waste a month just playing poker.
Truth. I've spent a decent amount of time doing mini-games like that and horseshoes and then realize it's been a few hours and I'm not even really playing the game lol

I don't play video games that often anymore, but I will always be interested in what Nintendo does. Their new console/handheld hybrid looks really cool.

....and I probably won't be buying this. I'd have to see how it feels in my hands first.
The DS was great because I could play it with just my left hand. This, I'm not sure I'll be able to. Hopefully the detachable pieces can come together or something.
In other news, I don't have class tomorrow, which means I can spend the day playing Civ VI.
I loved the first game so much. BUUUUT...that Nintendo Switch doe.
I've been off the Nintendo ship for awhile and I really would have no use for a handheld system at this point. If I had children it would be different. I've been a playstation man ever since PS1. I still get out my NES and SNES here and there though.

Red Dead Redemption 2. I'm ready. I love this series. Can't wait to see what they do with it.
Also expecting the online mode to be beefed up like they've done for GTA V. I got into the RDR online stuff too late with the first game and enjoyed it a bit but didn't love it.
It's a little bittersweet knowing we're 3 years from another GTA release though.
Yea, but I'm kind of okay with that. I never fully got into the online mode and want to play more of that but need to find people who actually want to do missions and heists (since just hoping to luck into a good lobby/group has been a nightmare and the load times for online mode is terrible). I haven't finished the single player story yet since I keep jumping around from game to game but I've picked it back up recently and want to finish that off more.
I've got a whole backlog of games to play on PS4 and PC. Dozens of games I haven't even begun yet.

I bought a Wii U and barely played it past the big games, but I really hope this energizes the company a bit. The new Zelda and the brief look at the new Mario, Mario Kart and Splatoon have me excited.
I actually play very little of other games, although I hope RDR 2 comes to PC. If not...shit.

Also the Skyrim Special Edition.
The format of the controller probably bodes really well for third party support. It's still...Nintendo, but more traditional.

Day one for me. Off TV play was something I really liked about the Wii U, but the range was pretty limited, I love the idea of being able to take any game anywhere. Switch will also support Unreal Engine 4 too, so that will help with the 3rd party situation. Can't wait for march.

Ordered the Division for PS4 since it was only $14 on Amazon. Also looking forward to getting back into Skyrim now that the Special Edition is out and I should be able to install it on my PC since I own the original and DLCs.
Probably going to stream Civ VI tomorrow when it comes out.
I promised myself to not even think of buying this until I'm done electioneering, but I did ask an old friend for his thoughts in the meantime.
Dude said he used three vacation days when it came out, and it was worth it. I admire his dedication, but pity the apparent lack of other things going on in his life.
This game is amazing. It's a narrative supernatural thriller by a few ex-Telltale devs. The basic story is that a couple teenagers go to an island to party, and end up opening a rift to another dimension.
Chaos ensues and they have to find a way off the island. It's very similar in vibe to Stranger Things. Really got 80s vibes from this game. The plot is basically Stand By Me meets Poltergeist. To say much more would be getting into spoiler territory.
If you like Telltale's games, you'll probably love this. Its conversation system is a little unorthodox, but it's cool.In the game, you can actually cut people off. It's a really interesting system backed up by some well-written characters and it creates what it probably the first "walk-and-talk" game. You also have a radio which you can use to complete puzzles but the puzzles are basically guess the number. The game also pretty much begs for multiple playthroughs (I've actually played through it more than 10 times).

Well, at least Oxenfree got one nomination! I'm a little disappointed it didn't get noms in Art Direction, Sound Design, Performance or Best Indie.
I'm also pleasantly surprised to see Titanfall 2 in the GOTY noms instead of BF1, Mafia III getting some well-deserved recognition for its narrative and acting, and for Overcooked in the MP department.
I will complain mightily if FIFA 17 wins Best Sports/Racing.

FIFA 17 is shit tbh. I've been playing the series since 2010 and this may finally be the year they convince me to just quit. The complete neglect of every aspect of the game besides Ultimate Team shows how it's just a yearly EA money grab at this point.

Yup. They won't even let you play on XB1 unless you're connected to your XBL profile. You apparently need to enable saving, which is such a crock of BS it isn't even funny.
