So I seen in the Hartford Courant yesterday that tickets for GotV 2011 are going on sale Black Friday. $150 for four day weekend passes in this early sale.
Anyone plan on going next year? Bridgeport is less than two hours from me, so I figure I'm due to go at least one year soon.
I'm thinking of waiting till the lineup comes out, see what my favorite day is - then go for that. If it's all good, I might just get the weekend pass then.

considering furhur is probably the biggest ticket dead-reincarnation vibes could get, anyone think that they will in fact get them two years in a row? Or will they do a one-off performance of The Dead, or do mickey and bill get a headliner?. I mean, you can't have vibes without any of the living members. Thoughts?
Ah the hell with it, I'll splurge. Ticket prices going up soon another 30 bucks, so I might as well bite. I've been tempted to go the last few years anyway. Hopefully the lineup is pretty good.
However, I never been into the Dead at all - so this might be interesting.
I'm on my phone and I think people are smart enough to find it on their own... but next time you feel the need to dictate what I should do by all means let me know and ill care just as much as I do right now

It was a suggestion. One that would make things easier. Don't get so upset.
One of the better lineups I've seen from this fest. I would love to see Furthur and Elvis Costello, but there's not enough there for me to justify spending a couple hundred bucks on it. However, I am strongly considering getting a day pass for whichever day Furthur plays.
Decent lineup for me. I'm not a huge JA fan, so that doesn't sway me much. Other than that, it's very reminiscent of last year; which was fun. But the festival grounds are such a craphole. It's a shame they couldn't have this festival somewhere else.
I'm gonna inquire about getting the time off when I go to work tomorrow, and if it's a yes, then I'm a go for this. It's not a perfect 'roo replacement but nothing is.

I got this email today with the days bands play, I couldn't find it on their site for some reason?
I went to this fest for the first time alone in 2009 and to say the least, MAN was it an adventure. I am seriously thinking this may have to happen again this year. DAMN AllGood for being the weekend before

I didn't have my camera, but there was literally 3 inches of discarded balloons covering creepy nitrous alley at sunrise on Sunday morning in '09 by the baseball fields
The Nitrous Mafia running rampant is camping with crackheads 101, Vibes 2009 taught me that.
To anyone who went, did it get any better last year regarding that? This is kind of important because AllGood did exponentially, compared to 2008
Didn't get better at all last year. It was a really scummy crowd. There were a bunch of kids that just put up a tent in our campsite the 2nd night and kept asking me to see my wristband so that they could try to make a fake one and get in for free, then basically implied that anyone who paid for a ticket is dumb because it's so easy to sneak in for free.
Not to mention nitrous everywhere. Don't think I'll be returning, partially because I personally think this lineup is kind of boring, and partially because of the crowd. Bummer, too, because I thought it was an awesome locationt. It was cool to be able to wake up and walk to the beach every morning before you went to see shows.
Sunday to me looks like the best day of the four easily. Friday looks decent. Not sure what to make of Saturday, and will probably miss Thursday anyway.
I don't plan on staying on the grounds or venturing through the camping area much. Just go in, check out shows, get the hell out at the end of the night. So hopefully that'll lessen some of the problems from crowd suckiness.

Wait what? How do you know which days have which acts? What am I missing.
