Like we needed more hype. This tweet just came from Anthony Kiedis : Holy Leno ! The lineup for #Bonnaroo just went over the top tonight... beyond thrilled. Great lineup and some once in a lifetime shows.
That is really cool. I'd love to know what he thinks put it over the top. Once in a lifetime shows opens a lot of speculations again.
Agreed.. I feel the once in a lifetime means either a collaboration or reunion show.. and just for kicks could the "once in a lifetime" be referring to Talking Heads? probably not but just a thought

Maybe it is Buffalo Springfield. They just announced they were gonna do some shows the other day.
i agree, if tickets were on sale currently i could see it to bump sales, but since tickets are on sale this just make sense unless they are bringing something big. why would you want to set up your fan base for disappointment again?

Plus, it's not like those are comments for the entire fanbase. How many people actually know who he is and follow him on Twitter...

right, the people that are following him are more likely to be members of the core fan base.

lol, I typed in the word over the top on google and than started typing band names in front of it to see if any of them had association with it, I typed in over 25 big acts, you know the only one that came up that matched....Lady Gaga

My guess is that there is going to be a lot more collaboration than we have seen in the past. That certainly qualifies as "once in a lifetime" opportunities. Thinking about big time bands that would be once in a lifetime for me gets pretty ridiculous and even talking about them seems silly. I've given up on most of those dreams a long time ago, sometimes holding on to hope only serves to cause pain.

Buffalo Springfield. the timing of this makes sense. Maybe they had an open invite to play, BS couldn't say yes just yet. So they proceeded to sign a 'hip hop' big name to replace them as the #1. Then, BS gets their crap together and says we'll do it.
Remember, Capps said "shows" as in plural.. so not just one once in a lifetime show but multiple.. so what counts as a once in a lifetime show?
only bands that are thought not possible of performing. leaving reunions and the retired. like cheech and chong in the comedy tent waters and gilmour together for a full show, soundgardens new album.... white stripes.... too soon? system of a down? the kinks.
I have seen a lot of post on here in recent days upset that WSP will be a headliner yet again.. but I think this was a great decision.. With this being roo's 10th aniversary and panic's 25th aniversary.. plus panic is gonna be taking a break after this tour.. i see a lot of special guest in this show and i have a feeling that this will be one to remember... anybody feel the same way?
Yes, I agree! Although they have their off moments, their live shows are always at the very least decent. My boyfriend isn't a fan but loves going to see them live with me. Great energy. They get a lot of hate on this forum though...but so do most bands.
