ok, the last time Ringo and Macca made music together was around the same time, so if they were to play at bonnaroo together, by your theory, the 2 of them wouldn't be headliners... wat...
take a look at Neil's and Still's careers and come back and tell us they don't deserve a headlining spot.
look, im'a let you finish but....
i saw CSN at Vibes. I left early. It's cool and all, but its not very interesting to me. further to that, im not a fan of Young. I think I like him, the man, more than his music. so I could care less... i would bet money if he is there, he will jam with some other artists, so that is cool.
Your point of comparing them to the Beatles is ridiculous. By that logic, any band that Capps could throw enough money at to reunite 40 years later is suitable to be a headliner.
you know, and I know, that BS does not have nearly the longevity, relevance, or influence on music compared to the Beatles, Stones, Dead, Floyd, etc etc
As a test, I asked a few people at my gym if they were familiar with Buffalo Springfield. Normal people, not music nerds. All said... "hrm, i know the name - aren't they a really old band or something"?
Normal people don't go travel to the middle of nowhere to go to a music festival. In a year in which Kanye West, Eminem and Foo Fighters look like the biggest festival gets out there, I would suggest Buffalo Springfield would be pretty damn good.
Also you've yet to convince me that you actually know enough about their music to have an opinion.

dude, i dont know shit about their music. as far as im concerned, they are a band that will always have one song listed in a "greatest hits of the 60's" collection and nothing more.

are you saying i live in the middle of nowhere?! that offends me! j/k, i love that the greatest festival in the world is in my back yard...everyone is always pissed at me on sunday or monday when i tell them i only have about a 15 min drive to get home to my nice hot shower and bed!
I could ask the chicks in my Zumba class who MMJ and AF were and they would look at me like I lost my mind. Can't be asking the folks at the gym idio. If it ain't Lady Gaga, they don't know it.
dude, i dont know Leno about their music. as far as im concerned, they are a band that will always have one song listed in a "greatest hits of the 60's" collection and nothing more.
Mr Soul is a really good song you should check out. That being said you have a point about them headlining, they are not the biggest name act in the world outside of hardcore Neil fans. Too expensive to not be a headliner, and not well known enough to actually do it is my opinion.

Is that a class where you use a frog to shoot colored balls and try for matches?

No, you dance like Shakira and shake your booty. It was either that or pole dancing.
yeah, all my friends last night were asking who that group was that played before avett bros at the grammys...i'm like "they have one of the greatest albums of the year" and when arcade fire won it, i was like "that's the other good album of the year"...they had never heard of either of them...i told them if you hear it on the radio, most likely it isnt "good" music

as far as you are concerned, you are wrong. like was mentioned earlier, most people wouldn't know the yardbirds, derek and the dominoes or even cream. it's like saying jack white is awesome, but you don't know the white stripes so they must be bad.

I think that's a stretch. Maybe most people wouldn't know Duane Allman was in D&D for half the album, but people know those bands because of Clapton.

This. While Buffalo Springfield is a historic act and one of the most important bands of all time, they're not mainstream. Most people will be like, who? CSNY on the other hand, would have people gooshing and goshing about the lineup. Huge difference. Buffalo Springfield is too "polarizing" to have as a classic rock act and to be number 1 on the bill. That's all.

Like I said earlier, if they're going to spend this money I'd rather have them get Neil + Crazy Horse or CSN&Y. Not to mention that if it's either of those they could still play 1-3 BS songs and make everyone happy, right?
How many people will honestly be able to sing along to that many songs outside of Mr. Soul and For What It's Worth? I love Neil and I could probably only sing along to about half the set right now.
I'll take Neil if he came with an actual horse, though, so I'll be more than happy with Buffalo Sringfield.

Alright. LCD video posted on Bonnaroo.com + all other Bonnaroo videos seemed to be acts that will be at Roo + LCD leaked from an anonymous source on twitter + crazy ticketing fiasco surrounding the band right now + farewell shows + LCD obviously wants as many of their true fans to catch them live one last time before they finish + Bonnaroo obviously still signing artists to the lineup days before it comes out. Not saying "This is Happening", but it would make sense to try and pull it off. So maybe we are gonna get them again.

LCD Soundsytem won't be at Bonnaroo. Their last show together will be at Madison Square Garden on april 2nd, so there's no way unless they plan on pissing off all their fans who are paying tons of money to see this show.

all of their fans who were able to get face-value tickets... which hardly any did.

Ok so Murphy told you this personally? All I know is the evidence above and the fact that he is PISSED about only scalpers and Amex gold card holders getting tickets.
I am glad you are the final word though I guess we will just not discuss it anymore based on your say so.
