I may have an extra Bassnectar and Pretty Lights late night ticket. Still waiting for my buddy to tell me if hes going or not. Guess thats what happens when I go out of my way to get him a ticket to a sold out show.
My Morning Jacket will almost definitely get 100% of my time, sorry Railroad Earth... I'll start with Black Keys for sure (just saw Galactic at late-night Wanee, doubt they'll be topping that...) and see if I can pull myself away for Justin Townes Earl... I'll be bouncing all over for FLips/MHead/Rival Sons. Other conflicts ain't bad!
You hate all three? You just go to festivals for the virgin daiquiris huh guy?
FLips vs. Motorhead- Catch half of both. Motorhead is a lot harder to see than the Lips IMO. Flaming Lips play the same show most of the time, and Wayne rambles way to much. If you were at the Roo late night show last year you know what I'm talking about.
I'm about f'n sick of that drawn out Yoshimi that never ends .....its really annoying.
Hahaa, I love how I can always tell it's you posting without looking at your username.

Best use of filter, ever! I am still trying to get off work, It is only about 6 hours away. I would need a couch for this guy to sleep on? (Thanks Holls!)I do not see any major conflicts and would help with possible conflicts at Roo. If I could see them at Hangout, I would fell better if I missed them at Roo, them being whoever.
I received an email from an unofficial Hangout board's admin saying that the schedule should be out within a couple of days and that we should have tickets in hand by the end of the month.

Where is this board at?
There's not really a lot going on there. The Facebook page and Inforoo are much better forums than this place, but if you must go:

Something I've been thinking about....
The dance tent is 3000 capacity, right? Doesn't that seem a little small for Girl Talk/Bassnectar/Pretty Lights? The latter two obviously have at least 3000 Hangout pass-holders who are interested in seeing them since the late nights sold out well in advance. Surely some of the 32,000 anticipated attendees that DIDN'T buy late night tickets will show up to the tent, too. Girl Talk is the biggest question mark, since he's probably the biggest draw of the 3 and it's his only set of the weekend.
Anyone else think this might be a problem? Or will Haynes/Avetts/Franti on the main stage keep the crowds lower in the tent?

I think the other draws are big enough to keep the crowds at the tents at a reasonable level. Also I generally don't like that genre of music that early in the day (and I like those acts) and I'm sure I'm not the only one like that.
^^ Agreed. I personally will not be making the day show for Big Gigantic or Bassnectar due to the fact that IMO the late night sets will be 10x better. Besides, its Warren Haynes and Cee Lo, two names that got me to the festival in the first place. Ive seen the Avetts quite a few times so I may still catch both PL sets.

Fair points. I still wonder about Girl Talk, though. I'll probably show up early to find a spot. I don't really need more than 45-60 minutes of Trombone Shorty, and I don't particularly care about Ween. If it's an overcrowded mob scene, I can always bail and lock down a better spot for The Black Keys.
Anyone have an idea as to how long the late night sets will last? I believe the shows start around midnight, and I dont see them playing more than 2 hours. Being fairly nocturnal I may find myself looking for something to do at 2am.
Is anyone still interested in a Rooster meetup? What night would be good? Or I can cook breakfast for everyone if nights are conflicting...just let me know. I will have a house in Orange Beach and full facilities (kitchen, washer/dryer/etc) so just let me know if anyone is interested. I will probably go down late Thurs night and leave Sunday....
