Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
And I think there will be more official late nights this year, probably one Friday and one Sat at least, but probably both at the Hangout again...they will announce the tickets for those soon. And maybe some of the bands will play at some of the other clubs around town. But yeah other than that it's just the normal beach club scene...if you haven't ummm...experienced Flora-Bama before it's definitely something to do ONCE in your life if you are in the vicinity!

Don't know about you guys, but I'm really liking some of the bands on the lower part of the lineup. Truth & Salvage Co., Rich Aucoin and Jonathan Tyler all seem like they could be great sets. Haven't seen any of them before.
AJ: “It's gonna be as diverse as the first announce. There’s gonna be more indie acts, more rock acts, couple more hip-hop acts, more female soul acts and some more dubstep stuff as well. It'll be another diverse group of artists, probably 10-15 additional acts.
AJ: The additions will be announced in the next week or two and the schedule will follow about two weeks after that. End of March, early April.

Awesome find man!
I'm seriously stoked to see who the additions are going to be. I have a feeling that I'm going to have some major conflicts this year, whereas last year I didn't have hardly any at all.

I told myself that Bonnaroo would be my only festival this summer that I really have to travel to, but the lineup for Hangout is so good..and it's on the beach? Man, looks like I'll be making my first trip to Alabama!

You're not going to be disappointed! I had a great time last year, and after reading the article that phunkyzen posted the link to, I think it's going to be even better this year.

A couple of our people cant come now so if any harmless folk want to split a condo on the beach beside the festival pm me and I'll let you know the details
I sent in my Work Exchange Team application last night and tried to reserve a campsite at Gulf State Park, but the reservation desk was closed for the holiday, so I'll try again in the morning. I'm hoping to make one long road trip out of Hangout > Wakarusa > Roo.

So...."more female soul acts" has got to mean Janelle Monae, right? That comment plus her empty date following her 5/20 show in Montgomery would be too big of a coincidence. Adele has a 3 day gap in her US tour that coincides with the Hangout dates, too. She's not someone I would necessarily be excited to see, but she seems like a decent fit for the lineup.
I'm not sure what they mean by "more" hip-hop, since Matisyahu is the only announced act that could arguably be called hip-hop, and that's still a stretch. Cee-Lo's roots are in rap, but he will probably stick to his solo soul material (and maybe a few Gnarls hits). I could be wrong, but I doubt we hear any Goodie Mob. Whatever, nitpicking aside, I would love to see a couple of rap acts thrown into the mix.

I would be happy with Janelle Monae but I would scream like a little girl if we get Adele
Looks like I am doing this festival instead of Bonnaroo. (Yea Alabama!) Does anyone have any experience with the shuttles? I am looking at booking in Orange Beach to save some money, would be relying on them then. Thanks - see you there.

Lauryn Hill would be amazing, but she's a huge risk because of her recent track record of showing up way late for shows. I'm honestly surprised Coachella booked her. It's one thing to show up 2-3 hours late for a solo headlining show, but if you pull that at a festival it has a potential ripple effect.
Good info about placement and investment in the air conditioned dance tent.
Awesome...that clears up one of the big unknowns: there will be official late nights. I was wondering how they could swing that with the noise ordinance and the limited size of the actual Hangout, but it sounds like they found a solution in the form of a dance tent.
Also glad to hear they are cutting down on vendors in order to ease the flow of traffic. Smart decision, it could get congested between the stages.
I have just been assuming that there would be more scheduling conflicts this year, but now I'm not so sure that will be an issue. If they really only add 10-15 more bands, that puts them around the same number they had last year. Since last year was extremely light on the conflicts, I imagine they would take a similar approach this time around, too.

We didn't use the shuttles last year. But here's a map of the shuttle routes, if you're interested. Judging from the interview posted above, the routes will be similar this year just with more buses running and maybe reaching out a little further East and West? The guy said they are "tripling the shuttle service this year", so whatever that means. That surf style on the far east of the map below is right next to the big bridge in Orange Beach, I guess they may extend the service area to the condos on the other side of that bridge.
I also found this, if yall are interested. It's the festival site layout from last year. From the interview it sounds like the dance/latenight tent is gonna be right between the restaurant and the phoenix condo. Last year the mainstage VIP was on the audience right of the mainstage - the unlablled building right there is the indoor VIP bathroom, I'm guessing that's where it'll be again with the addition of the VIP pool somewhere up there.

On Feb. 25 a poster above referenced the interview where they said adds would be "in a week or two". I don't know how old the article is, but I would guess he quoted from it the day it came out. I think that would be this week or next.
The ferocious vocal tornado Kristy Lee is back! After an electrifying close to 2010, Kristy Lee is excited to announce she will be performing on the Main Stage of this year’s Hangout Music Festival before Widespread Panic and at the opening night VIP party.
