Having been only to Coachella the last 4 years and seeing how gay friendly it is, how is it compared to Bonnaroo? I'm mostly just asking this because this will be my first Bonnaroo and I'm a little scared of what the corwd demogrpahic might be considering its location. Now that may be dumb for me to assume that, however I felt that the Coachella location played a large part into the gay-friendly vibe. Any insight from 'Roo vets? Thanks.
last year was my first Roo, i didnt notice any problems and had a great time. Everyone at Roo is pretty open minded from what i saw

Other than possibly some country music festivals and some metal festivals, I think all music festivals would be gay friendly. I even went to some very redneck country music festivals as a kid in the 80s and their were people that were blantantly gay and they didnt have issues and this was 25 years ago.

This will be my third year going, and I've never had an issue. The only time it's ever even been in question...
One time I was talking to some people (19-22 year olds, I don't remember their exact age but they were pretty young.) while waiting for The Strokes and they said "...are there even gay people at Bonnaroo? They don't exist here." After a quick "uhh... yeah. Like, right now.", they became incredibly apologetic and never brought it up again. We just continued chit chatting.

Everyone at Bonnaroo is soooo friendly. ive never had an issue with anyone either of the 2 years Ive gone. While I will tell you that Ultra, Coachella, and Lolla def have larger amounts of gays I have never felt disrespected or out of place at Roo. I think the lineups at those other fests might appeal a bit more to gays but Roo will still always be my favorite!

In my two Roo's I've never had an issue. Not that I ever thought that I would. I've never even witnessed a fight on the Farm, much less blatant bigotry. Its a place where everyone is accepted. Even Wooks for the most part. At least until the apocalypse starts.
Moral of the story...everyone likes partying with the gays!
Thats like asking does bonnaroo allow drugs if they are hidden. yes they are gay friendly, along with estatic, frantic, scared, a little angry(only at yourself), and mesmerized friendly. Oh and werewolf outfit, president mask, siames twin, and leprechan friendly Seriously that was the gayest question ever and im gay
