I thought "still up" referred to being awake too. Or at least I took that as the face-value interpretation; the clue could still depend on some alternate view of it.
But I was thinking Rip Van Winkle sort of stuff.
Um, also the clue keeps making me think of Viagra. ;D But in that case I would think one would be calling a doctor, not a priest OR a guru!

this is good...but if you were up for a month or two you would be psychotic... they did tend to keep astronauts up..but the trials found that they turn psychotic way before that time limit. as for viagra.....a month would be too long...
The Hindu calendar is different from the Gregorian (Christian) calendar. The Hindu calendar contains "lost months;" rare but occasional. This might result in the confusion between being up one or two months.

i understand the insomnia idea but why would they say a month or maybe two. thats ridiculous for insomnia. its hard to believe the clue would be that messy and off.

I think the literal interpretation of the clue is pretty obviously referring to being awake / insomnia / whatever.
It's not like it's talking about an actual person, I don't see why it matters that people can't really stay up for a month or two. That's still what the clue is saying...

Lol...around the "viagra" idea earlier. The movie "The Love Guru" (i never have seen this train wreck of a film). But according to IMDB Kanye was in it

Oooh, I like the Christmas tree thought! That's a decent explanation for "a month now, maybe two" since people put Christmas trees up at different times. Two months would mean putting it up REALLY early, but still it's possible.

Well, maybe it's not exactly a Christmas tree but something similar..since a priest would sort of go with a Christmas tree. It could be an analogy of sorts....priest : Christmas tree :: guru : what?

The word guru isn't necessarily associated with any certain religion or anything.
No. It's very simple. Think about the Zoltar crap from last years Bonnaroo. It's somewhere within that old tool used to help you choose your lineup, meaning that the artist was at roo last year, and it's still up for a month or two before they release this years lineup and take it down.
