2010 was the first year I've napped in Centeroo. And it was so easy and refreshing that it made me wonder if there are people who stay in Centeroo for the entire weekend.
Waltz in Thursday afternoon, waltz out in the wee small Sunday AM hours. Eat & drink from vendors, sleep under the trees, wash in the fountain, etc., for 96 straight hours (or however long Centeroo's open.)
Anyone done that, or even tried it? If so, do tell.
Edit: my longest straight stay in Centeroo is about 18 hours. And mind you, I'm not talking about the wook who can't find the exits, either -- this has to be deliberate, not an act of malfeasance.
Edit edit: have I ever mentioned that my avatar is a picture I took of graffiti from directly above the urinal in a Roo porta-potty from that big bank of them next to That Tent?

I tend to spend a lot of time in Centeroo, just because it cuts down on the walking. I try to find some shade during the afternoon, if possible, to stay out of the sun. I know I've walked out of Centeroo at 5:30 a.m. on many occasions and had to step over people who were "staying the night."

I definitely see people "staying the night" often. But the whole time? It wouldn't surprise me. I just couldn't do it. So much else to see outside of Centeroo.
I've spent most my time there when im at bonnaroo. But not by choice I'm a seafood vendor and I sleep and shower there the only time i leave is when im hitting up shakedown. I always waste all my money on the expensive beer there cuz i'm too lazy to walk to town to get it from walmart.

last year's roo, my bf and I were napping next to Deadmau5 tent during his set and awoken by security to ask if we wanted to go to our campsite...It was the only time I have ever been woken up(napped everywhere and anywhere all past 4 roo's). He was waking up everyone around us, too.

I intently watched some of security do what you're referring to, this past year. At first I thought they were f ucking with people but then it occurred to me that they were just making sure that no one was dead.

after the kanye debacle three of us tried to sleep in centeroo but were forced to go to the campgrounds by security...not volunteers tho some sweaty fascist lady in a real uniform saying that it was somehow unsafe heh BS ...i still blame kanye tho...
I think in '09 I slept a bit in the Cinema tent overnight. Last year, I slept outside the Comedy tent overnight but that only so I could get in for Conan the next day. WORTH EVERY MOMENT.

Not surprised this was last year. Many of the security and parking people were totally clueless as to how Bonnaroo works. As much as I pay for a ticket, I will damn well nap where I want to.......

Apparently that is what I should have done last year, but instead gettin' there over two hours before official start of the line fer his Comedy Theater was not good enough as the lines had started way before that. Still hate AC/Superfly fer that fiasco.

I have always gone to Centeroo when the sun comes up to nap under one of the tents. I have never been bothered by security. But a couple of years ago I saw security waking people up who were sleeping in the main stage area.
after going from deadmau5>end of gwar>bisco for 10 mins>back to deadmau5, me and my friend passed out on a blanked located next to the tent mau5 played in a ways back from the lunar stage. our friends left us there and went back to camp. apparently a guard tried waking us up and telling us to leave, and i told him to f off and he left according to rob haha but i dont remember. i woke up when the sun was already up with the blanket halfway over me. apparently a gypsy-like girl "tucked us in" too. if youre on here, thanks :].
People do it often, well at least spending the night. I'm up VERY early on Friday morning, my shift on Thursday night ends anywhere from 3-7 AM and I like to take a quick stroll through Centeroo before I get my nap in.
I remember '09 perfectly, there was a sea of people behind the bleachers at Which Stage sleeping. It was great.
And yes, security will wake you to see if you're still alive. They tell you to go back to your site but I typically just walk 20-30 yards in the opposite direction they're walking in and go back to sleep.
Buying all my food and drinks from the vendors all weekend though? I'll pass on that one.

I did this too, in 09. My tent got so much rain in it cause I didn't set it up right. I'm not complaining, I fell asleep to the Simpsons movie, and woke up to Beautiful Losers.
I stayed in the Fuse Barn this past Roo. I think they put the hammocks away some point in the evening. Did they not before? Or did you guys not see them in '10?
I'm confused why people are talking as if the hammocks dont exist anymore. Theyre just 4 or so, if I remember correctly. Hard to find 1 that's not already taken.

One year we were hanging out against the Fuse barn and they had one Bonnaroo worker there to guard the hammocks (she stopped us from laying in them). She was nice, though.

In 2006 I realized that I could crash for a few hours in the movie tent late night after the music. There weren't really a lot of people and there were some empty couches and air conditioning. It was great. I started doing this every night. Basically the only time I would go back to my camp site was form like 7 a.m. when i'd leave centeroo until about 12 or 1 p.m. when I would head back into centeroo for more music.
I love spending a lot of time in centeroo. You just need to make sure you have everything you'll need when heading in.
