Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

Farm heathen disguised among giants could mean someone from a huge band breaking away and doing something solo. Ten meaning the solo artist could be from Tennessee, Red, White, and Blue is what no one seems to be able to connect to the particular band but Im guessing the band itself isnt from Tennessee, just the solo artist in question possibly?

Neil Young? CSNY did "American Dream" in the late 80s. Neil either lives in or frequents Nashville, right? and I can see the "farm heathen" clue loosely fitting.
of course, like Pink Floyd, Radiohead and Jack White, most any clue could fit Neil, right?

I think it might be a female. See Gary's posts a few minutes ago.
It seems like that nateruss guy on twitter already solved it. Fleet Foxes. I do have a problem understanding stuff on twitter though twitter.com/nateruss twitter.com/Bonnaroo

Wouldn't you say him stating they're all "perfect 10s" is more opinion and not fact? If we've decided it's someone from Tennessee, they don't fit. They're from Seattle.

was jack white solo ever ruled out? because i could see it. actually i heard from someone who knows someone that the next jack white project would be a solo one. i know no one will believe me but all i'm gonna say is look at what city i'm located in and put together the pieces.
screw it. i'll tell ya. ever hear of the greenhornes from cincinnati? ya know, jack lawrence and patrick keeler's other band? well i saw them back around halloween and know someone who personally knows the band. he told me the next jack white project would be solo. that night i heard it, i saw the greenhornes play twice. once in a record store and then a bigger show at the southgate house. before the record store show earlier in the day, lawrence and keeler and the rest of the greenhornes came into the bar across the street (northside tavern) and sat right down from the bar from me. still i'm not sure anyone will believe me.

I've already stated that Jack White is not the answer.
I think it's a solo performance from someone usually associated with a band, possibly a female, that has never played bonnaroo. "Red white and blue" or "farm heathen" refer to the band this person is in I think. I haven't been right about anything else, no reason I should be right about this either though.
And yet, you're close....
also feel that this is a good guess (though I hope it's wrong):
Red, White, Blue - She was on American Idol young palette - new female artist farm heathen - She grew up on a farm and has one album called "farmer's daughter" She made the Top 10 on American Idol
There was a story about her agents trying to get her a spot at Bonnaroo.
*sigh* so it's ok to guess most likely to be there artists, but not ok to guess artists that have personally confirmed that havent been confirmed by bonnaroo? you guys should really make your FAQ more detailed

Crystal Bowersox is very, very good, in the style of Joplin. I wouldn't have a problem with her being there...if Idol hasn't succeeded in taking her beautifully raw talent and turning it into pop mush.
but Idol has some pretty tight restrictions on contestants' touring, contracts, etc. for awhile after a person is on the show. Although I'm not certain what they are specifically, I would think that those alone would be enough to keep her away.
