Clue #5: Red, White, and Blue are all a part of this young palette. A farm heathen disguised among giants, the only Ten I see.
My guess is Kings of Leon. Although they are playing overseas on the Friday of Bonnaroo, it's still possible for them to be the headliner on Satuday night. Last year Jay-Z played in Europe the night before he played at Bonnaroo. Being the 10th anniversary and all I don't think the Kings of Leon would miss out on it. Even when they do not play, they still show up to Bonnaroo since they are somewhat local.
Now to get to my assumptions on the clue. In the lyrics of "Crawl" it quotes out as, " The reds, the whites and abused/ The crucified USA / Just let the prophesy unfold / All hell will soon be on its way." That would be the red, white, and blue part of the clue. Even though they sub in abused as the blue they are referring to the USA and the red, white, and blue symbolizes that. They are also young. They are farm heathens because they usually go to Bonnaroo every year and as everyone knows Bonnaroo is located on what use to be a pig farm. They are disgused among giants because they are big in the music industry so not everyone would know they ROO nearly every year. They are kings which makes them giants. They are native and local to Tennessee, for the only Ten I see.
I would like to believe. I love the Kings of Leon.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver

Out of all of the various interpretations for the farm heathen and the giants that we've got, I don't think any of them really touch on the fact that the farm heathen is DISGUISED among giants. I don't know where to go with that, but...I think it might be significant.

i'm gonna throw out Deerhunter as a guess.
the covers for Microcastle and its alter-ego Weird Era Cont. are red and white and blue and white respectively, plus their 2007 album Cryptograms featured songs "White Ink" and "Red Ink". Deer are definitely farm heathens as they eat crops and other animals food. They were also founded Ten years ago in 2001.
If anyone can rationalize this further, by all means do...
Rooin' since '05...(except 2014...worst June of my life!)
"Hey Peter Frampton! Do you like toast too? Yes, as do I. It is warm and crispy, and a perfect place for jelly to lay. Now stay the hell away from me Frampton, I ain’t got sh*t to say to you!"

Like a wolf in sheep's clothing? They've played Bonnaroo before and they're touring this year and can fit the first part of the clue, but I don't think it's the answer: Wolfmother.

Wolfmother?
Red, white & blue = Australian flag colors young palette = makeup which equals woman which equals mother a farm heathen disguised among giants= a wolf is a farm heathen or a ranch heathen Ten I see= they've played Bonnaroo and were formed roughly about ten years ago.
Edit: if this is the answer, or if the answer is another hard rock band, should Bonnaroo rename itself to Download USA Festival?

the "among giants" thing....could it be someone who plays with a lot of really top acts but who really hasnt stepped out themselves as of yet. maybe someone who is not in the spotlight but who has a lot of talent? again thinking about pegi young who has played with and around lots of huge acts and who also lives among the giant redwoods and whose husband is also very tall physically. i dont think its her but...maybe someone like her?

Sorry if this has already been said, but I've had a long few days and haven't been on here, but I assume the last part is from the old joke "You must be from Tennessee, because you're the only ten I see."

Red, White, and Blue are all a part of this young palette. A farm heathen disguised among giants, the only Ten I see.
Alright, I went over page 1 and saw the hints:
Red, White, and Blue I think means the kind of music she plays= Americana?
Young palette= Somebody too young to play Woodstock and I think he the original Woodstock as there was only one, not Woodstock 94 or Woodstock 99. To clarify, the original Woodstock was just that: Woodstock.
A farm heathen disguised among giants= I think that means her name is a farm heathen that is normally disguised among giants which can mean corn fields

Sheryl Crow anyone?
i could get with this. i can easily see her playing in norah jones or tori amos's spot from last year.

i tried to find the pircture i have in my head and couldnt' find it so i might just be making this up but.. i thought i saw a picture of robyn w/ red white and blue eye makeup, she could be called a ten by someone's standards. and it seems to be leading to a female solo artist.

I just looked at Pitchfork to see who had records reviewed with a perfect 10. Dismemberment Plan was the only band. Could point us in the "only Ten I see" direction.

How about Elizabeth Cook? She is americana (red, white and blue), and 10 and lives in Nashville, a young pallette (relatively young). I am really striking out on this one, but that is my best guess for now.
How do you distinguish between Swift, Jonas, and Cyrus? Seems to all be on the same pop/crap Ark.
Taylor Swift worked her way up from nothing and became successful on her own. She writes her own music.
Jonas and Cyrus were churned out by Disney to sell crappy songs written by old men to young kids. They didn't make it as musicians. They're more like actors who have concerts.
Even if both make "pop" music.....I still consider one to be more of a real artist/musician while the others are just puppets.
Fair point. Still not sold but like you said she'd be less than 1% of the lineup.

No way they bring back a headliner back to back.. let alone one so heavily debated.

Edit: only record with a perfect 10 in 2011
well considering 2011 is only three weeks old >_>
plus it was a reissue, and they give reissues 10s all the time
