I am hesitant because I also heard about Radiohead and AF were spoken sometime back and I am 100% with Massive Attack playing, but it is more than what I heard lately. If they aren't there don't complain to me.

can you clarify on this? are you saying that you heard from the same source that said that radiohead and arcade fire were talked to(i know you said that you are doubtful on them now). or are you sayin that you heard about Massive Attack back then, and just not much about them recently?
Anyone got a good description of the live show? Are the main guys playing instruments or doing a lot of synth and electronic stuff? I know absolutely nothing but am interested.
They were extremely impressive at Moogfest. The playing was well balanced between all instuments; guitars, percussion and keyboards, with none excessive over another. Vocals are sparse with instruments predominant. The themes are dark, brooding and political. Their light display showed some pretty spooky stuff, including up to the minute newstickers, and dialog from airborne strikes against enemy targets (people) in Iraq. Makes you think.

I have to admit I'm in the category of people here who don't have a lot of previous exposure to MA but I've spent the past hour jamming to random stuff of theirs and I'm liking it. I could definitely see them in the Flips spot.

I heard Massive Attack for the first time at the Phoenix Festival in 1996. They played before Bjork rather than after as scheduled and so I went in with all of the anticipation in the world only to be... BLOWN AWAY by the sounds coming off the stage. Forty five minutes of mesmerization.
It'll be fifteen years and no opportunities to have seen them since when they take the stage at Bonnaroo this year and it's going to be AMAZING!

We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Holy criznap this is good news. I've spent a few months getting to know Massive Attack just for poops and giggles and they've really impressed me. Can't wait to see them live!!!!one!

It's really cool that all you guys are into MA. It's all a little too slow moving for me. So I'm excited for all of you, but in all honesty I just hope they don't play late night Which. I dont think they will, simply because I feel like that spot is reserved for bands or shows that a lot of people have heard about. And I don't think MA falls into that category.
