If bore is referring to a wave in general then a wave can be of any size. Bore is actually a type of tidal wave though and they are huge. Cokes, the answer to the clue is not what is smaller than the breadbox. The BoRe itself is smaller than the bread box. I think.

Only thing that I can think of that's not metal, bores, and commonly used in urban slang is a SHIV or SHANK (a non-metal weapon made from homemade items)... But i have no idea how that can relate to B & R...
OKAY >>> Keeping all of the hints/clues for this in mind... Hear me out!
Assuming BoRe is referring to gun/bullets, I began looking at O and E instead of B and R... OE TECH makes accessories and magazines for Airsoft guns (guns that shoot plastic bullets/pellets, can certainly bore a hole or give you a headache if shot in the head!)
SHINY TOY GUNS
Just after they were nominated for a Grammy (Champions), they kicked out the lead singer and replaced her (from one bore to another).
2 Possible "Divine Interventions"
• Removing the previous singer could be a "divine intervention" because their next album and single got them higher on the charts than they have ever been. Also, because of the heightened popularity, they worked with Lincoln automobile and made 2 music videos/commercials.
• Their highly anticipated album "III" has been rumored, announced, then delayed, and set aside. Now it appears a miracle (Divine Intervention) has happened because there is a countdown on their website to the date of Feb 11, 2011. With a messages that say "You are waiting for a train... a train that will take you far away" and "you know what you hope is at the end of this timer, but you can't be sure. and it doesn't matter...because we'll be together."

I was thinking of the logic of guns, a bullet from a gun can leave a hole. (Bore a hole) A "Bore" is the inside diameter of a gun barrel, which is the diameter of the bullet the gun fires. To keep your bore greased you use either Bore Butter or Rem oil. REM? If this has been guessed and ruled out, I apologize. I didn't see it on the first page.

That's 45 and 44, two popular large caliber or bore sizes. (From one bore to another... Dirty Harry used a .44 magnum. One of General Patton's revolvers was a Colt .45) Black Eyed Peas are this year's half-time entertainment. (Divine intervention = half-time?)
Hot Tuna has their version of "99 Year Blues" where they tout the benefits of a "38 special on a 45 frame."

My two cents - feel free to crucify...This was mentioned before, and ignored mainly because I dont think they gave proof but my guess is the Bohemian Reggage artist Screwdriver 1) A Screwdriver is smaller than a bread box 2) If you drink enough screwdrivers, you most likely will have a headache later 3) A bore hole could be filled by the use of a screwdriver (and a screw)...the "a war rages among champions" is admittedly a bit intense a description
4) Screwdrivers last CD "Prophecy" is defined as "Prophecy is a prediction expressed under divine intervention" (Bo hemian Re ggae is just a wild guess for BoRe)

Over the weekend the internet was awash with fresh speculation that the original line-up of Guns N' Roses are set for a 2011 reunion after video footage of former bassist Duff McKagan performing You Could Be Mine live with the band was posted online.
Last Thursday (October 14) McKagan joined GN'R frontman Axl Rose on stage at London's O2 Arena for rip roaring run throughs of GN'R's You Could Be Mine, Bob Dylan's Knockin' On Heavens Door and Rose tattoo's Nice Boys Don't Play Rock And Roll and GN'R's Patience. It was the first time in 17 years that the pair have been on the same stage together While Rose has previously said he'd never work with guitarist Slash again stated that "one of the two of us will die before a [Guns N' Roses] reunion", McKagan seems much more receptive to the idea.
"I'm not going to be one of those guys who's like 'fuck that, that'll never happen.'" he told Rolling Stone. "It could very well happen. I love Axl. We've been through a lot of shit together that nobody can take that away from us." (this article is from 2010)

BoRe(If it has to do w/guns) A war rages amongst champions (Axl's feud w/the other members. War of Roses perhaps?) Divine Intervention (it would take a miracle to get all of them on stage performing together.)

ok i attended roo in 2010 and ive been a lurker ever since i havent actually read all of this particular thread but what about bad religion? they kinda fit the clue ??
Well, Okay you B R, and religion or specifically prayer is a call for divine intervention, even if the band are openly atheists. I can't connect them to "bore" or "a war amongst champions" in any meaningful way. I guess this is as much I've got in my last few suggestions too, I'm really running out of ideas here. GC needs to drop another hint or three.

ok i know simple thinking on the this but they said the b and r in BoRe is suppose to be capitalized something that potential The BoRe is a thing, commonly heard in urban slang. It'll bore a hole. And possible give you a headache. -Please note that "BoRe" is spelled correctly and with an intentionally capitalized "B" and "R."
War amongst champions of their respective kingdoms. They could both Bore holes in just about anything. It would take divine intervention to reunite the band after they split.
Okay the last part isnt too solid, but I'm trying.
