Flighttest, it could mean the tick is going from one host to another. It makes too much sense. Did you read the definition? It says BoRe, capitalized exactly like that. Weird thing is the definition was posted like two years ago.
"The tick/BoRe easily gets under your skin causing irritation" I just think it feels like a dig is all. I think this has just been the run around the whole time. The other clues feel like they're going somewhere but this one doesn't...maybe I'm wrong, I'm not giving up just yet but I'm close.

And, "The only known cure for the tick/BoRe is the use of the "ignore" feature."

This was just a random thought I had a minute ago. BoRe was also defined as a tick on urban dictionary, which seemed to describe an annoying message board user (a "Bo"ard "Re"gular perhaps?). A lot of the board regulars on here seem to think that they can bank on one big act or another (Daft Punk, etc.) and that's where there is the "war amongst champions" and I was thinking they might be throwing us a curve ball and finally signing Justice with the "divine intervention" being their album Cross.
I would really like to see Justice at the farm, but I promise my thought process wasn't started with the intention of making Justice work, it just came out that way.

I like the thought process but our old bud GC knocked the logic you have down already. Check the orginal post for a list of his "clue" tweets. Chew them over and see what else comes to mind.

I think that definition of "tick" on Urban Dictionary MIGHT be referring to an MMO called Navyfield. The Lion1 and Lion2 seem to be ships in the game...or something like that, I couldn't figure it out for sure. And as far as I can tell "BoRe" is just a player in the game...I definitely found posts in the Navyfield forums from a poster named "BoRe" with that capitalization.
Not POSITIVE that's what the UD definition is referring to, but it's the best I can find with some googling.

Also, when Gary first mentioned the urban slang connection, he said COMMONLY heard in urban slang...so I'm really not sure how well that tick definition fits. It definitely seems like that definition comes from one specific message board somewhere, not actually urban slang at all. It's possible whoever wrote the clue was just checking the definitions of "tick" on Urban Dictionary and didn't really realize what that one was, though.
Either way, if the clue IS referring to that definition, it would pretty much have to be because someone looked up "tick" on urban dictionary. So not only would the tick be fairly crucial to the clue, but it's possible the fact that they specifically went to UD might indicate something about the type of artist. As in, maybe they'd be more likely to try to use UD to write a clue for a rap/hip-hop/etc artist?

*edit* quote chopped in two
Ok, I figured I probably wasn't taking something into consideration, but it's atleast good to know I can come up with something logical with the pieces I have, haha. Back to the drawing board!

Oh god, I've got a total collision of worlds going on right now. I've been playing Champions Online lately, seeing it mentioned on Inforoo is tripping me out.
Also just wanted to say I like whoever said earlier that "from one tick to another" made them think clocks. I don't know where to go with that, but that might be the type of thinking we need. Some sort of interpretation of "from one tick to another."
Ok, I'm new to all of this but I've been trying to figure out this #6 clue for 3 hours now and I'm going with this OK don't make fun I'm new at this and if I'm right I'll for sure be at roo this year...here goes nothing
1. from one BoRe to another, someone else mentioned = from one bonnaroo to another I'm going with that meaning someone who's been there OK. 2. a war rages amongst champions there are a few different things i got from this ....there is a rapper with a dvd called duel of champions, the same rapper was also a major name when it came to the lebron james war when the "champion was deciding where to go, the same rapper was involved in a turf war between the new york knick and the jersey nets when a giant billboard was posted in the opposing teams territory, last but not least this rapper is a champion by far (my opinion lol) 3. we're calling for divine intervention, beside the fact that that is a verse in one of his most popular albums, this rapper has caused great controversy over referring to himself as God oh and by the way perhaps they were connecting a tick sucking blood to his verse in monster.....Jay-Z maybe?
One BoRe to another translated to one tick to another.
To me this means tick tick tick as in the noise you hear before a bomb would go off or perhaps a clock. As far as a war between champions and the rest of the stuff I'm not quite sure.

They have a song, "A Rush of Blood to the Head"...that could reference the B and R as well as the "possible headache" that Gary referred to earlier. Also, their drummer's name is Will Champion.
Hey guys, first time posting here. I've been reading through the thread and Gary's clues and I think the answer might be Spinnerette. Kind of a stretch on some, but here's what I've got:
- Gary said common arachnid for BoRe, so going with the most common one, a spider. Spiders have spinnerets. - "We're calling for divine intervention" - Spinnerette has a song called "Baptized by Fire" - "A war rages among champions" - book called Spinneret (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinneret_(Timothy_Zahn)), book plot is wars between rival planets... this one is a big stretch, I know
It looks like they're going into the studio in April to work on a new album, so that timing may or may not work for a June show.
This is probably all wrong, so feel free to rip it to shreds
