Is it possible we get a conflicting headliner on Saturday during Eminem? I'd much rather have Eminem Vs. Buffalo Springfield rather than Arcade Fire Vs. Buffalo Springfield.
Another (im)possibility: have Neil Young play on the Which during Eminem's set.

Arcade Fire are playing Friday according to Insider.

Not impossible but extremely unlikely.
In other words, do I haaavvve to see Eminem?
No. You never have to see any artists you don't want to. Even if they play unopposed there is always something to do. Go to the arcade and play some games, go get a sweet spot for the late nights that start after eminem, hit up the movie tent, take a nap back at camp, visit shakedown street, get something to eat.........there are tons of options.

Just wanted to come back to this thread and just say that I guess my hairstylest knew about Eminem being at roo this year and that was a better source than anyone was able to provide for a potential headliner this year It really sucks because this is actually the first year I will not be able to make it to roo in the last 4 years but still hoping for some last minute additions that can convince my spouse to make it to roo.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."

Good call. Sorry for doubting you.......it did seem far fetched though. Anyway, sucks you won't be on the farm this year.

I won't lie. Pretty excited about this. Never been a huge fan, but The Slim Shady LP and The Eminem Show are two of my favorite records. I enjoy quite a fair amount from his other albums, although I still haven't heard Recovery yet. Bring it on. I'd never pay just to see Eminem live, so this is my chance!
I have a feeling Wayne and Em might be on different days, but if they are on the same day they'll do that awesome new single for sure.. most likely during Eminem's set. Not sure about Eminem having any guests, but Wayne almost always has his whole crew with him so there's a good chance he'll come out with Birdman, and possibly Drake, Tyga, Mack Maine, Cory Gunz...
I'd be kinda surprised if Wayne doesn't come out for Em's set even if they're on different days. I could see Wayne sticking around an extra day for that. They have three songs together, and Em's already been performing Forever and No Love without him.

You arent into The Marshall Mathers LP? To me thats far and away his best. Slim Shady LP is amazing but what he does on the Marshall Mathers LP is on another level.
Been a long time since I heard The Marshall Mathers LP. I remember not likin' it quite as much when it came out. The songs I did like were really good, but others not so much. Might be time to give it another spin.
Not going to lie when I first found out Eminem was headlining I was a little bummed out, mainly because it's the 10th anniversary and I was thinking a lot bigger. After a few days I got over it and decided to look for my Eminem cds found one but I still can't find my Marshall Mathers LP damn it… I trashed my room looking for it haha. I used to love the hell out of that cd and I can't believe I was only 13 years old when my parents bought it for me haha. I've been listening to his songs and watching his vids on youtube for the past two days and you know what I am now super pumped to see him live. I want to see what he's capable of. I mean this is my one chance to see him… why would I not? I live 20 minutes away from Detroit and I love that city and even though it has been through some tough times and has a bad rep...Eminem has always called it his home, he has always stuck to his roots. I'm sure some of you saw the Chrysler/Eminem commercial during the super bowl... it brought me to tears. It's good to see him still standing by Detroit and helping to shed some positive light on the city. Everyone around here is being affected by the auto industry... my neighbors, my family... all hard working people and for him to give us all hope well then I owe it to him to see him live on the farm this year.
^^^^Coco to you. I also agree that Eminem has been down, the "fast life" got him, but I also see EM coming up on the up-side. What a better way to prove himself than rock, if not the biggest than for sure the best, summer music festival. Jay-Z was amazing last year and I can see the same from EM this year.

When it was first announced I was like "Eh, whatever I'll check him out" But after popping in the Marshall Mathers LP, and giving Recovery a couple spins, I gotta say I'm getting pretty excited about seeing him. I forgot how much I fuckin loved the Marshal Mathers LP, really fantastic, solid stuff.

i love the lyrics of it..not where he is cussing out his own inner demon, but when he and the demons voice become one rapping about how fucked up famed made his life..genius to me..

above all else, I hope hope he plays "Drug Ballad". I know there's a good chance he won't since it's not one of his most well known hits, but i think it fits the atmosphere . IMO it's lyrically his best song
