I'm really hoping he's not on the lineup, with Dre or without. If you've ever seen him live his sets leave A LOT to be desired. His material has really nose-dived, and he relies so much on backing tracks for vocals now that its dissapointing.

I was a big fan back in high school, havnt really kept up with him since but I think it would be a good show to see for nostalgic purposes. There is definitley worse headliners out there then Eminem. I think that with what Insider has given us im pretty sure that its going to be Eminem as the Saturday headliner. The only other likley canidate is Outkast and I would rule that as unlikley. So if the headliners are Eminem, Arcade Fire and WSP I could live with that although im sure alot of people would be underwhelmed.

eminem put on a great show when i saw him 9 years ago when he was touring for the marshall mathers lp on the anger management tour, but i could see a lot of the magic of that show having been lost since then
Eminem is an awful rapper. He is highly over rated. If they are saying that this hip hop "act" could be performing with the Black Keys then it is probably someone different and better. Eminem just wouldn't mesh with the Black Keys and wouldn't fit in with Bonnaroo with is angry hate rap. I would say even though this history is rough, Kanye would be the likely choice because of how different his music is. I don't think Kanye is the best hip hop artist out there but he is leagues better than Eminem.
to not like him is one thing. to say he is awful is ignorant.
his word play and multi syllable rhyme patterns are just as good as anyone who has ever picked up a mic. i know people hate on the main stream, but you cant call someone awful who can rhyme whole sentences repeatedly in a 16 bar verse

Are you fucking retarded? He's awful? Get the fuck out of here. He's been voted the best of ALL Times. He's sold more albums than anyone in the past decade. "Angry Hate Rap" Are you kidding? You obviously haven't listened to recovery. Very different. Very Good. And very little "hate". He has plenty of songs that do not involve "hate". Plenty to fill a whole set. And still be stellar.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself

I don't think anyone, anywhere, said the hip/hop headliner would be performing with The Black Keys. But you probably just started that rumour

I absolutely love the marshall mathers lp, and some other random songs here and there from the other albums. Seems like an odd fit for roo but he would be a big draw and they need that for this line-up. I'm all for it, and it looks like it will happen. And, say what you will about these headliners, but if it turns out AF-Eminem-WSP it will be the first time I possibly see all 3 headliners (tho theres about 50% chance I'd be too tired on sunday and skip out on WSP)
not sure why people think eminem's got what it takes to headline bonnaroo. also not sure why people think a rap headliner is a lock because we've had 1 rap headliner in the history of this fest. yeah there were some big names and late nights and other stuff but i'm willing to bet the 2 big rap names on the bill are the roots and black star.
insider said it was a rap headliner and said it wasn't lil wayne or kanye

I don't know how anyone couldn't jizz their pants over a Dr. Dre/Eminem pairing. Either one alone wouldn't be nearly as strong, but together, they have enough A list material that they would absolutely slay, and you know it good and well.
I'd love a Dre/Eminem show. I'd go to see it, Bonnaroo or not.

Everyone knows what insider said. Not everyone wants to believe it.
Honestly, I would prefer Snoop and Dre over Em and Dre.. But honestly, either would be pretty cool. Much better then the U2 hysteria going on a few weeks back. Although I still don't think we have totally dodged that bullet yet.
for the last time, eminem will not be headlining bonnaroo
Why wont he? I see a lot of people saying he wont be there, but I don't see anyone explaining why.
And for anyone to say he is an "awful" rapper...wow. If you say that you obviously know nothing about rap and what makes rappers special. If you know anything about rap, you know that what Em does is incredible. Not many can even come close to his style and flow he puts in his songs.
I've met tons of people that don't like Eminem and they know a lot about rap. But not one of those people say he isn't great at what he does.
