sang, switch shpongle and sts9. Sts9 will not open for Shpongle. there would prob be 45 min break for setup but sts9 is playing last like disco biscuits last year. they will play for as long as they want and to put a band after them is wrong. bonnaroo will not do this and you know this. but otherwise prob my fav so far.
Sphongle is still probably going to be on Thursday. He may have canceled his show in Orlando to be able to drive all the way from Manchester on Thursday night/Friday Morning to make it to Fort Lauderdale on Saturday. Getting from South Tennessee to South Florida in less than one day would be tough to do.
Hey Airline, how close was your mock to the actual schedule last year? Just curious.
I was very close last year. Got the Weezer-Dead Weather placement right on. Only two misses I can think of were Jeff Beck (I had him on the mainstage with Jay Z, Stevie, Dead Weather and Jimmy Cliff) and Norah Jones (I had her headlining a tent).
This makes me uphappy as you have several big conflicts that I don't want to see happen, Band of Skulls against Freelance Whales, Florence against MMJ, and BK against Mumford.
I'm seeing Florence in Indy in July, but still. I think the show will be more exciting at Bonnaroo.

I think (and hope) Shpongle will still be a Thursday act. We have to imagine that they were schedule by AC for Thursday well before their Friday show was cancelled (since Shpongletron was listed by their own touring co. for Thursday), and AC probably made deals with the other LNs for Friday and Saturday. Seems to be an uncomfortable position for AC to tell a FRI/SAT LN group they're moving. So if Shpongle were moving nights, either AC had to move someone else out of Fri/Sat LN, or they could have had an extra empty LN spot, too -- but that means they would have had to have that empty Fri/Sat LN spot up until the moment Shpongle cancelled their original Friday night show.
Seems to me the only way Shpongletron is Friday is if AC has known about that cancellation for a while, time enough to reserve a spot for them.
or Shpongle cancelled one show to do bonnaroo. this is more of the case. explains why shpongle cancelled the show. why else would he cancel it? unless he was thursday and knew he couldn't play friday and wanted more travel time. but i see it as roo wanted him late night friday ala he cancelled his florida show to play.

Definitely possible. Seems weird, though, that they'd list themselves as Thursday if they were always planning for Friday. Unless it took some negotiation with the Friday night gig promoter that was pending until now. Totally possible.
damnit. haha every time the mock starts looking right that happens. but this is is what it actually says there Fri, Jun 10 at 12:00 PM – Sun, Jun 12 at 10:00 PM. i still believe they are sat. definitely not thur. as they have another show that night.
anyone thought of this as late night? i know dates are being posted but they are not always right.
Firday Which 1-4 SCI Other 1:15-2 Ratatat-> 2:30- 4:30pretty lights This 1-2:15big boi-> 2:45-4:15Bassnectar That 1:30-2:30 Shpongle-> 3:15-4:45Girltalk

Anyone know how long it takes to set up and tear down this Shpongletron Experience, or even how long of a show it is? I'm sure they could have it set up before any of the bands play, like the Lips last year, and I'm also sure it could fit inside a tent but with as big and as loud as this thing is supposed to be, the Which Stage on Thursday (even though they've never used that stage on Thursday) seems like the ideal location for it. Shows inside the tents have a lot of obstructed views if you're way back and not even in the tent, or even if you're in the back of the tent, and after seeing what this Shpongletron Experience set up looks like, I think it'd look way cooler on the Which Stage.

Isn't it conceivable that Bootsy and Dr. John are on different nights to split up the Super Jam style acts? I see one being Friday and the other Saturday.

Last year, half the late night combos had the higher billed act playing first. The first act doesn't necessarily "open" for the second act. It's probably more a matter of avoiding conflicts as well as the style of the act.

As far as what I want to see, I like Alberto's slightly more EXCEPT for Friday night. If we could get Buffalo Springfield>Black Keys>Eminem on the What from 4:30-12 on Saturday night, that'd be perfect. Plus, I really want to catch The Black Angels' late night.
That said, somehow Airline's mock seems slightly more realistic. We'll see.
Wiz Khalifa just released new tour dates and he's playing some pretty decent sized venues (which he will probably sell out). I could easily see him headlining a tent or playing a stage.

Sangreal's makes a bit more sense but still has some questionable areas. Also overlapping Beirut, Iron & wine, Robert Plant, and Explosions in the sky is a major No No, and would ruin that day as those are 4 of my top 15 anticipated acts.

what is questionable? and you do know that that they want to create conflicts? they would much rather spread out the crowds than to have everyone in one place. you only have to look at past schedules to know that.

It wasn't the "open" part that was the problem. it's the fact that STS9 had a limited time slot. they will play last so they can go as long as they want. Like the disco biscuits, STS9 is the last band to play in a tent in late night. only once did ethier not play the last late night slot in a tent and that was biscuits in 02 when they closed a tent during the day (still able to play a little longer then schedule). Out of all the late nights STS9 could play the longest along with SCI and maybe bassnectar or pretty lights.

Yea some, and not like you need to be defensive. That's a decent guess, nto like any of us know what it will be.

The way everyone is making their schedules is strange. All the acts I want to see are between 5pm and 11pm on everyone's schedules. That would really suck.
