Question is, out of Bassnectar and Girl Talk, who would play the earlier/shorter set and who would play the longer/later set? I have no idea. Not really familiar with either.

Either of them easily could close out the tent. Which is why I'm afraid they'll conflict. Bassnectar had the earlier set last year so I'm not sure if they would get the same slot or not.

i think bassnectar is more likely to play the closing set. Him and Pretty Lights both played the main stage at Camp Bisco this year while Girl Talk had a set in the smaller late-night tent, and Bassnectar had the more premier spot as he played the set break of the Disco Biscuits
On another note, it looks like BassNectar and Girl Talk will both play late Saturday. Think they will both close out tents? I hope not. I imagine (most) people who want to see one will want to see the other
This is exactly why they will probably be playing at the same time. That's just how it goes with late nights.

Seems pretty conceivable. Although I'm thinking Florence ends up on the Which and I'd about be willing to bet my Roo ticket Big Boi is in a tent, not opening the Which for Weezy.

The first act isn't necessarily an "opening" act. If the first act is the opener, then last year Clutch opened for GWAR , Thievery Corporation opened for Disco Biscuits, and Black Keys opened for Kid Cudi and B.o.B. Out of the 6 pairings, half of the time the higher-billed band played first.

yeah i understand they arent billed as "opening act"/"headliner" but just based off Bassnectars crowd, i would think it would be more of a treat to have him in a similar time slot to the biscuits allowing him to play whenever and just letting people dance the night away(not that girl talk isnt dance music but does anyone really want to hear three hours of mashups?). Of course what people want and what actually happens doesnt always pan out so it could very well be Girl Talk after Bassnectar because it does make sense to have the bigger act before everyone falls asleep.

My take on Sunday:
What: G. Love > Superjam > Plant > Widespread Which: Railroad Earth > Bruce Hornsby > Galactic > Iron & Wine > Strokes This: Neon Trees > Chiddy Bang > Amos Lee > Mavis Staples > Beirut That: Head & Heart > Ryan Bingham > Junip > !!! > Robyn Other: Mayfield > Smith Westerns > Van Etten > Daniel Lanois > EitS
I don't see Robyn playing in the middle of the day in a tent. Maybe in mid-day on the Which Stage, but hopefully she closes a tent. People got to be able to dance during her set. She's also gotten pretty big in the past year, so I don't see someone like Bruce Hornsby or the Cold War Kids or Amos Lee or Daniel Lanois getting any kind of priority over her.
Oh, and as far as the latenights go, a lot of it depends on who's playing the late night stages. Last year Deadmau5 went 2nd because they didn't want to put him against Jay-Z. Outside of that sort of thing I don't see a lot of prioritization of one timeslot over the other. One act isn't 'opening' for the other when by the time they're done it's 4am and half the crowd has gone to bed.
And it'd be fun to see Big Boi on the Which Stage, but he'll probably play a tent set after Wayne's.
I don't know about Cold War Kids or Amos Lee, but Bruce Hornsby and Daniel Lanois are like 100 times bigger than Robyn. Never even heard of her until the lineup came out.

She's significantly higher than either of them on the lineup, so I would imagine she gets prioirty. I'd never heard of Daniel Lanois, and I wasn't aware Hornsby was alive. I would assume Robyn being 7-10 lines higher than the other two would give her the edge.

High On Fire played two years ago, so Bonnaroo and Matt Pike have something of a relationship. It would be awesome, but I wouldn't hold out much hope for it.

Didn't High On Fire cancel though? I am sure I would have saw them if they played.

You're absolutely right. The second act should be the one that might choose to play longer. If the first act does that, then they're just being jerks.
So, what is the average set length for Basnectar? What's the longest set he's ever played?
