Haha that's why I'm driving to tennesee. I'd actually prefer it if those were the only bands playing, maybe then they'd only have 1 stage and I wouldn't miss anything haha. I don't know what I'll do if I have to choose between most of those.
Someone make a lineup where Ray lamontagne, MMJ, Buffalo Springfield, The Black Keys, Robert Plant, explosions in the sky, Iron & wine, Dr. John, Blea Fleck and the Flecktones, The Decemberists, Mumford & sons, and Beirut have no overlaping sets and are all at least a half hour apart. Cuz that would work reeeal nice haha.

I'll be pretty bummed if the real schedule looks like most people's here. The way everyone is setting them up I'll have conflicts for every show I want to see and all between 5pm and 11pm.... that'd be a bummer.

Hmm I went last year and only had one conflict last year, I counted 11 on both sangreals and us soccers. I guess it's just not my year. Oh well now I'm hitting up Waka too so that will cut down some conflicts.

how can you only have one conflict?
I guess it was a mix of luck and ignorance. I just looked at last years schedules and there's a handful of bands I listen to now that I didn't know of back then. But it was really only Flaming lips vs. the Black Keys last year for conflicts (at the time) for me.
not that anyone cares but here were my conflicts of the past 3 roo's i went too. i don't think this year will be as bad for me. i'm pretty set on bands i absolutely have to see. biggest worry is plant conflicting with explosions in the sky. easily my top 2 picks for sunday.

1 Zac Brown vs Phoenix vs MMW 2 Fogerty vs They Might Be Giants 3 John Butler Trio vs Lucero vs Martin Sexton 4 Stevie Wonder vs Harper Simon 5 Jeff Beck vs John Prine 6 Avett Bros vs Mumford & Sons 7 F-Lips vs Black Keys vs Hall & Chromeo 8 Umphreys vs Dr Dog 9 Diane Birch vs Here We Go Magic 10 Fanfarlo vs Entrance Band vs Frontier Ruckus

It helped that the lineup last year wasn't nearly as good as this years I'm sure.

Clearly you need more restricted taste in music.
There are about 20-25 acts I really want to see and I'm anticipating a handful of conflicts. I think there would be a lot less complaining if people had more realistic expectations like these.
there's bound to be conflicts like that, especially for late night, but i think this year's late night shows aren't as stacked as in the past. i just wanna be able to see all of string cheese and dr john. if i can catch some others, great, if not, whatever...
Agreed. At first I was upset that there were only a few acts that I was interested seeing on the late night list, but then I realized I can only see 3 or 4 full sets anyway. Luckily it appears that my must-sees (Big Boi and Gogol Bordello) are on different nights.
And I was joking about the diversity thing, but obviously there will be tons of conflicts if you like a lot of bands from various different genres rather than setting your sights on fewer bands from similar genres.

I would be very happy if I can see at least 50% of these 20 bands:
Eminem, Widespread Panic, Buffalo Springfield, My Morning Jacket, String Cheese Incident, The Strokes, Primus, Pretty Lights, Galactic, Big Boi, Atmosphere, Bootsy Collins, Wiz Khalifa, Band Of Skulls, Black Joe Lewis, Alberta Cross, The Knux, The Band Of Heathens, Black Box Revelation, Jamie McLean Band

All I really want is for The Strokes and Beirut not to conflict. I'd go with The Strokes, but that'd be the worst it'd get for me.
I'd be happy with: Arcade Fire, Black Keys, Buffalo Springfield, My Morning Jacket, The Strokes, Explosions in the Sky, Beirut, Big Boi, Scissor Sisters, Deerhunter, Loretta Lynn, The Walkmen, Wanda Jackson, Wavves, !!!, Man Man, Smith Westerns, Karen Elson.
But really, the only two bands I absolutely need to see are Arcade Fire and The Strokes.
