Edit: In response to jambands claiming Arcade Fire wouldn't be headlining if it weren't for Where the Wild Things Are.
Yea that movie sucked... but did you ever find it curious that all of a sudden the song "Wake Up" (of their 2004 release Funeral) Was frickin EVERYWHERE after that movie came out..in 2009.....5 years later......

Because they finally allowed two places to use the advertisement. Their buddy Spike Jonze's film (who filmed a 20 minute music video type thing for The Suburbs) and the Super Bowl ad where they donated their fee to Haiti relief.
For a while I only really liked 'Wake Up' out of all Arcade Fire's material, but The Suburbs was so great it re-inspired me to give Funeral another spin. Digging it more this time around. Very stoked to see them live.
And I quite liked Where the Wild Things Are.
Schedule related comment: If Sunday's Which Stage in fact goes Explosions in the Sky into The Strokes, I will lose it. In a good way.

Explosions is 23rd on the lineup....Ween (who performed before Phoenix last year), was 16....I could potentially see Explosions playing before the Strokes on Sunday....I actually hope it happens. Better than them having to close out a tent and having to chose between them, Stokes and Robert Plant.

It seems like a stretch, but last year's lineup didn't have nearly the depth that this year's does, so I think it's definitely possible for EITS to play into The Strokes.

Man this thread got asinine fast. First of all, fuck you cedwards for stretching out the goddamn page. Type that shit up in here like everyone else, or link to it or something. I don't enjoy scrolling back and forth trying to read the thread, please appreciate that not everyone's looking at a widescreen monitor.
The headliners are Eminem, Arcade Fire, and Widespread Panic. They will play unopposed. No one else will. Anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong. They're all pretty good, none of them are my persona favorites but they'll all put on a good show and you can bitch if you want but it'll change nothing.
Don't count on Explosions playing late night. They 'have to' play late night? Says who? Animal Collective would have been ten times better late at night than at 2pm. Didn't happen. One of Bonnaroo's bigger mistakes IMO.
Oh, and don't count on Mumford & Sons closing Which. They could. So could Decemberists. For some reason Decemberists make more sense to me. That's because I think Mumford could hold the What down pretty well, even during the day. Especially during the day.
Oh, and it's pointless speculating who's going to play What/Which through the day because a lot of those acts could headline a tent. And I can guarantee you Florence & the Machine won't play anywhere before 5pm.
I might seriously cry if Mumford & Sons is conflicted with the Black Keys
I honestly couldn't decide. would have to flip a coin
If I have two bands that conflict and I want to see them equally as bad, I almost always go with the one on the smaller stage. I always seem to have more fun at the tents for the most part.

Neither one of these two acts will be in a tent however
I would go to Keys over Mumford in a split-second.
If you've seen both or neither, this should be the obvious choice. I've seen the Keys and Dan solo and they were both incredible shows. The Mumford show barely passed the "pretty good" threshold.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

I only saw a few songs from the Black Keys and Mumford & Sons last year at Bonnaroo, and was pretty bored with the Keys. Mumford however, was one of my highlights.

Oh yeah, they are definitely What/Which. The second sentence was supposed to be more of a generalization rather than specifically at these two artists.

Ill be seeing Mumford if that conflict arises. Only because I saw the Black Keys last year, missed Mumford, didnt get into Mumford until AFTER Roo and then kicked myself all year for not catching them. Also I live in the Black Keys hometown so they'll play around here on every tour they ever have, probably
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
The Keys just announced a show in Calgary 2 weeks after Bonnaroo but the venue is crap. I NEED to see TBK at Bonnaroo. I think the only way I would miss them is if they were playing at the same time as MMJ or AF.
