Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Is it easy to find if you're going for the first time?
Not really, what are your plans and cell phone situation? I will go meet you at the arch/entrance to centeroo and take you in if there will be a way for us to talk.
first timer here and im confused about '007/BFE' (and how to get in/when we can arrive on wednesday night) because i cant find anything on bonnaroos website about arriving before 7am thursday morning or anything about camping wednesday night.
ideally, we would love to camp wednesday night and then move to tent only on thursday morning so can anyone tell me more about where and how to camp wednesday night? also, when can we arrive wednesday night and are we able to leave that campsite without a hassle to head to tent only when it opens thursday7a?

I can be his point of contact Jess... if camp inforoo is where it always is, I can help him find it once we get things arranged in our VIP camp.

While Bonnaroo does open the gates on Wednesday night, it is an unofficial openin' so that the Walmart and surroudin' areas of Coffee County don't get crammed full of people. That's why it's not listed on the website. They don't want tons more people showin' up even earlier. The 007 campgrounds are where you will most likely be parked if you come in Wednesday night. This area is also commonly referred to as BFE (although there are some camps which are most likely further out).
If you want to arrive in line Wednesday you will have to stay wherever you are parked that night into Thursday early noon-ish. I don't recall exactly when they let us leave the 007 camps last year, but I think it was around 12 noon. Maybe a bit earlier. You won't be able to move to Tent Only until they open up the bridge/walkway out of 007 into the greater Bonnaroo festival campgrounds and Centeroo.
I want in! Will most likely be coming with one friend, but if he bails I'll be a solo-travelin'-lady. Either way, would love to camp with you guys. Put me down for some badass vegan contributions to brunch as well.
Is there a specific time you all try to arrive? I'll be spending Wed night in Cinci and coming down Thurs AM. I haven't yet decided how early to arrive so advice would be appreciated. Is there only one person who handles the phone chain, or are there a few? I'll PM my number to whomever when it's closer to time!

thanks a lot! i originally posted this question on bonnaroos website but quickly decided to delete it bc gosh-forbid everyone and their mom sees it and decides to come wednesday night too since from what i have read in other threads on inforoo, there might even be a wait on wednesday night and bfe even gets pretty full. so our plans thus far are to leave cincinnati sometime wednesday evening and arrive to the lovely roo of bonna that night or midnight/1ish thursday. thanks again for the info!
btw, myself +1 would love to join the inforoo TO group! just to simply restate, we are planning on camping in BFE wednesday night and then moving to TO as early as allowed on thursday morning. whoever is in charge of getting everyone together just let me know what you need (cell numbers, email address, etc.). woooooo!

I'm going alone this year and this is my first year on inforoo, id like to join in TO with everyone considering my spot when I get there. If im parked really far then I'll definately be hiking my gear to TO but i like the comfort of sticking next to my vehicle. We'll see how things go but I definately will stop by between hikes im sure. See everyone in june! Safe Travels.

Cell numbers will be fine, but it is a little early to start gathering them. I will put you on the attending list, and PM for numbers closer to the festival.
Well I just bought my ticket and it looks like I'll be going alone for my first 'Roo! You guys can count me in for Camp Inforoo. I think camping in TO is probably the best way to go anyway. I'll be bringing at least one easy up. You guys let me know if I should bring something for the group or need help with anything.

First timer here, I've done lots of research and got lots of good tips. I plan on going alone, wife not into the tent and heat and not up for paying for our sons to go. The idea of going to the tent only and joining you all seems like maybe the best idea as it will eliminate lots of walking or wishing my food and drinks were not so far away. My only concerns are: rain and theft. The main question I ask is when I drive in and they ask tent only or tent at car if I go with the tent at car and then see it is really far from Centeroo can I still go to the tent only area? Also with tent only area being close to Centeroo, how difficult will it be to sleep at say 2 or 3 am with music still going on. Thanks for the help!

If it rains we will have several ezups for shelter
Theft happens, but not too bad
When you come in they will park you where they park you
Who is sleeping at 2-3am? That is when the best tunes are going on. However do bring earplugs, wherever you wnd up it will be loud.

they wont ask you if you are camping in tent only or park and camp, rather they will place you at a park and campsite and you can then either camp there or lug your stuff to tent only.
rain: poncho rainfly on tent water proof your tent belongings in plastic bins and/or on top of something off the floor cots (elevated=no effect from water) shade canopy=added shelter from rain small umbrella rain boots or water shoes plastic baggies for anything you take in a backpack to centeroo
I have a question for Camp Inforooers. I am assuming camp will be a metting place for many? like there will always be someone around, someone to go to a show with? My question, and I think every camp should have something like this, have you in the past or do you have some kind of message board/mailbox set up? For situations like, I stop by Camp Inforoo looking for so-in-so. "What up everybody? Who wants a beer? Is so-in-so here?" "Not sure let me ask. Anybody seen so-in-so? has anybody seen so-in-so?" "yeah she just left, said she be back after the Old Crow medicine show." "Well can you give her a message?" "No, but you can write it on one of those pieces of paper and post in on that board" "next year we should get a mailbox for people to leave messages in" "What? dude, lay off the grass! Are you going to make that happen? "I could. If I wanted too." "Whatever, lets go check out some funk."
Scrog, I've always brought a small dry-erase board & marker (that attaches w/a carabiner to my EZ-up or tent) where folks in my camping area leave notes for each other. We'll probably do that in VIP camp (it really came in handy last year - we used it to write down everybody's order when I made a Starbucks run!)
Having a message board like that beats looking for a piece of paper & a pen.
^^^ a great idea m'lady! still deciding whether I should try to join the TO crew. I will have a couple of 16 year olds in tow, not worried about shielding them from anything you all would be doing...but maybe from what I could potentially end up doing! but I'd love to be so convenient.
Great minds think a like Holls. Of course if there was a board to pin messages on, there would have to be a supply of post-it paper, tacks, and a pen tied to the board, which could be a pain to keep all that organized and stocked. The dry erase board is a better idea. Glad to hear in VIP we are covered.

Guys can we agree to atleast ALL wear our inforoo gear on the same day? The only reason I ask is because in 08 Arlene and I wore ours hoping to find other inforooers and we only found Attourneyroo no one else not another sighting all weekend and yes I wore my inforoo gear multiple times as did Arlene.

Thanks holls that's a great idea. We'll throw one in the pile to try to keep track of our brood in GA RV.

I always do this. At our camp since we're usually with a group of people that go their own ways, I always bring a spiral notebook and a few pencils. I hang the note book from our ez up and that way we can let each other know whats up. I've noticed that with cell phones things like texts sometimes take hours to show up. Last year my sister sent me a text, I didn't get it until I was with her 3 hours later. Last year we couldn't use the message board because my sister was in BFE and I was in Guest. She couldn't come visit me. But it worked every other year.
