It's going to be my first time, might even be coming down from Michigan solo on the Greyhound, supposed to be hooking up with the something awful/goonarooers and it sounds like we'll be near you guys, either way I'm looking forward to meeting some interesting people

I'm not exactly sure what my game plan is yet but I would like to attend the brunch! Where in TO do you all camp usually? I think we might have seen you last year, we were pretty close to the road facing centeroo.

This will be my 4th Roo. Last year when the other site was up we setup a caravan from Michigan and all camped together. It was fun meeting all new people from the great state of Michigan. It also helped with rides and bringing less gear since we could all share. Everyone has different stuff and splitting gas money was pretty nice too. PM me if you want to set up a cool Michigan group again this year. We had 14 of us last year. I'm going to post this reply in a couple of spots and maybe we'll get a huge group this year.

Hey my fellow Inforoosters!!! I had brunch back in 07' and unfortunately I haven't been back to Roo since. It was awesome meeting up with everyone then. I was soo excited to have my yellow shirt with a rooster on it. I had random people coming up to me the whole weekend going "Nom, Nom"...."Corncat"
This will be my 4th Roo. Anyways, I have 4 noobs coming with me this year and we are planning on trying to get T.O. We are coming in about 2am on Thursday so hopefully this will happen. We would love to join the group if possible? We could for sure bring something for the group as well (food, etc).

Happy Roo!!!!
Sounds good, I am still trying to formulate a plan now that the gate opening times have moved around. I am pretty busy through the start of May, but after that I will get started on putting camp together.
has someone asked gary when tent only is gonna open. I really want to do tent only this year, but I am concerned with how to secure my cooler. Anyone got any tips for securing a cooler? I was looking a one of the cable based bike locks, then using that to wrap it through the handles and around a leg of the easy up.
I will also have to take whatever posters I buy back to my car and lock them up, so I dont really know if its worth it.
Maybe I can just luck out and be a 5 minute walk from the arch.

Looks like the GF and I are going to try and do TO this year. We were right around Roger Podacter camp last year, and walking 25 minutes multiple times got old.

In the event my phone is crapping out on me, which can and probably will happen, does Camp Inforoo tend to be in the same spot every year? Or, does somebody have a giant flag or whatnot in case technology fails us?
I believe the Camp Inforoo flag is a rooster. Think I've seen some photos of it around here somewhere...
Thanks. If I used half of my brain, I'd have realized it probably would have been a rooster. Dumb question--I was perusing the internets about Bonnaroo and found a guy's web page that had the baby (the one on the flag) with food all over his face, and then later as a kid--is that guy on the forums here?
Also, thanks Ellie for the actual visual. I just hope my fool butt can find it in the sea of other jazz.
And for whoever gets to the TO site first, do they just try and stake claim of like a 200 square foot area or something? Is this kind of a dick move?
At the moment I am going VIP and my companion will be going tent only. I am old and need the comforts of air conditioned bathrooms. Anyway I figure I can drop her off at the entrance and she can walk in at which point I will haul her gear over to TO. Can she join inforoo tent city, she is an incredible baker and is sure to bring sweets to share.

The baby flag is Leo's he did the survival guide you saw, I do not think he is going this year so it will probably just be the rooster flag.

It wont make too much of a difference when you get there tent only doesn't open until Thursday so there is plenty of time to meet and greet until then.

Is there confirmation of that somewhere? I saw Gary on Bonnaroo.com say that "camping only" opens at 7pm Wed along with the rest of the campgrounds.
