What are some valuable items that are valuable for trading purposes whether it be vendors or fellow festie goers? Garbage bags! Forgot them last year and had the hardest time finding some once inside
"Once in a while you can get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right"- Grateful Dead "Hey bitch fuck with me what's up" Freddie Gibbs Summercamp Roo Grateful Fest
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

Carry a mister fan and you will make friends wherever you are. Like zenfnp, it's kinda like trading cool, misty air for karma.
Another item that's fun for sharing is a good set of binoculars to share during some of the shows. Gets you up close and personal.
Finally, if you are going to cook at your camp site, be sure to bring extra eggs and bacon. The smell attracts visitors and you want to be able to share. In trade, you may get a good cup of coffee.

mister fan, ftw.
if you're trying to get close for a set, try giving the person in front of you a refreshing mist. 99 percent of the time they're gonna let you step in front of them.
I have said it before, but an item I find valuable and like to trade, are cigarettes. I do not smoke, cigarettes. I do know the power a pack holds. So, after a round or two of Raver Fishing, I like to play Make Bryan Laugh, Dance Monkey Dance. "What will you do for a cigarette?" It is all in fun and done respectfully. ;D Cart wheels, hugs, and Piggy-Back rides are basic suggestions, but creativity = more then one cig.

coca-cola classic...i have gotten handed some nice corn for some flat coke several times (always without asking for it), people tend to remember their whiskey but forget cola.

what is racist about that statement?
noun 1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others. 2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination. 3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.
also, " menthol cigarettes are purchased disproportionately by African-American smokers, with 80% of African-American smokers using menthol cigarettes primarily". I don't really want to derail this thread with semantics, but it is kind of a big deal to sling the racist card around on a website such as this.

what is discriminating about anything i said? get off your high horse. you have no substance and really need a way to justify your position rather than saying you are wrong about the whole thing. what do you want out of this conversation? to prove to this website that you aren't racist? would it still be racist if i told you i was black? i just want to see how far you are willing to hang on to this ridiculous perspective, or at least defend it. I am still trying to figure out where the affront is occurring. because there wasn't anything demeaning about it... ahh, unless you have some voice in your head that you have picked out just for me when you read my posts, which ultimately reflects your own feelings towards black people (or menthol cigarettes)... maybe a personal dialogue that you loathe about yourself, but nonetheless have, and spend a great deal of effort trying to create this para-sociopathic facade that allows you to quell that nagging feeling of hating some part of yourself.
here is probably one of my favorite quotes, and it rings true for so much. ""Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." -- C.S. Lewis

You have a thing or two to learn about the power of stereotypes, my friend. I suppose this is not the right place to continue this conversation, but I do hope you look into just how powerful they can be. If you want to continue this conversation, feel free to PM me.

please explain what harm was incited from my post. what power was usurped from whatever community you perceive me to have maliciously attacked? here is another great read regarding comedy and how "you do not have the right to not be offended"... i know it seems like a double negative, but it is worded that way for a reason. www.heraldscotland.com/mobile/comment/guest-commentary/doug-stanhope-on-offensive-comedy-1.1083012
I am not going to PM you either, I am going to air this out here out of principle. I don't imagine I can change your mind on this, but I am going to give you a good glimpse at just how vapid your knee-jerk reaction is. what do you do in a real life situation here? like if i were standing in front of you? do you have a bullhorn to bleep out any speech that doesnt rain down praise on all brown people? do you raise your fist and invoke the spirit of malcolm X in your litany of damnation on any and all who dare point out cultural and racial differences? you know, i could even understand your POV here if i had said anything that was charged positively or negatively. is it your understanding that smoking menthols cigarettes is an insult? or maybe i caused a slight against all white people who smoke menthol cigarettes who wish to not be associated with anything predominantly black. please explain your position. don't hide behind claiming some elevated sense of morality or greater awareness. if you cannot explain to me what damage i have perpetrated to anything, or anyone by my statement, then apologize... but do not sit there and talk to me like I am beneath your self-proclaimed mental superiority.

When I go to shows and some fests, I always carry a couple of extra bottle caps from water bottles in case the idiots take them off when you buy them. Yea I know refillable is the way to go. cr****

Hey you should really pm him you are really flooding this thread with your nonsense
I don't really want to derail this thread with semantics...
Then I would PM him. If it was a joke, than it was a bad joke at that, now let it go from this thread.
OK, now back to Valuble trading items.
*scrog adds Menthol Cigs to his list of things to bring to, Make Bryan Laugh, Dance Monkey Dance. "What will you do for a cigarette?" contest. also, he now must make something to trade for a glass stash jar on a hemp necklace* I love the idea of gifting and am happy to see so many talking about it as well

im glad to see this thread doing so well once the 18 people stopped chiming in about stopping the sidebar discussion. I was really worried i might have destroyed such a pearl.
^^you say 18, but I think you mean the 3 other people who are standing up and saying you are wrong by asking you to take your race vs joke discussion somewhere else. I ask about your latest sarcastic comments "destroyed such a pearl" "glad to see this thread doing so well", is that your way of insulting all of us? Some random people tell you you are wrong and to prove your point you try to insult them? You win dude.
Man you have a lot of negative energy, you should get that checked out.
