MGMT do have energy and stage presence, they don't run around like idiots though.... They just concentrate on the music which, is why everyone is there.

I'm definitely stoked. I wanna go really badly. I have a good friend who lives in San Fran and is going, so I may end up flying out there for this. Easily their best lineup ever, if my memory serves me correctly.

OSL's inaugural lineup was one of the best lineups ever. This ones pretty good though, just seems a little thin. Though the top of the top heavy is sick.
How are the noncamping festivals? I really can't imagine leaving one of the biggest parties ever and then just going to my hotel room or w/e. Man camping is where its at, there's just nothing to worry about. The line-up for this looks absolutely amazing but seriously, deadmau5, girl talk, mgmt, and tons others in the daylight? I mean, it says the music ends at 10pm and thats just weaaaaaaaak... it sucks cause the no camping almost does ruin the line-up for me.. granted its an absolutely stellar line-up

Just bought a three day pass! It's in a PDF as a single ticket which is unfortunate, because I really don't care about Saturday. This will only be my second time in San Francisco and I'm pretty excited for it. I'm dog/house sitting for my sister in this town, Vacaville, like forty five minutes, but plan on sleeping in my car's trunk full of broken glass and moldy clothes after the show Friday. Saturday I'll make the drive home to shower and hopefully catch David Dondero playing in a town around here. Nobody cares about all that. Anyway, three days of great music in a beautiful park. This will be my first live music since Bonnaroo this year. 'Tis going to rock!
Tentative schedule (pending on a night of heavy Youtube listening):
Friday: The Joy Formidable Phantogram Foster The People Cal Your Hands Say Yeah Big Audio Dynamite The Shins
Saturday:
The Vaccines OK Go Arctic Monkeys The Black Keys Muse (would have more fun with Girl Talk but I've seen him twice and might as well check out Muse so I won't ever have to again).
Sunday:
Tune-Yards Group Love !!! Major Lazer The Decemberists Arcade Fire
Arcade Fire, Major Lazer, and Foster the People are my most anticipated shows. AF at Roo in the pit was one of the best moments of my summer. I hope everyone has a great time out there!

To anyone out there who has been to an Outside Lands over the last few years could you briefly PM me some experiences about the fest?
I'm thinking of maybe going next year and wondered about the positives and negatives? The layout of it all? The vibe? The accommodations? The proximity of the site to the rest of San Fran?
Might be fun to go down for a week, check out the city again, see a Giants game, and hit the fest towards the end of the week
