I so want to go to this. April is the month I get three checks. I might just have to suck it up and spend all the extra on tickets. Wish I had gotten an early bird though.
I went last year and it was a really good time, but I have to say it is a very different environment than other fests I have been to. Maybe the no camping thing took away some camaraderie or something but the people were just not as friendly.
What happened in 1848 that relates to Beirut? I mean, I'm not saying you're wrong, but I think there's more suggesting Rebelution here.
For starters, 1848 is most historically recognized for the large number of revolutions that occurred - I could be wrong, but I don't think Lebanon(or what became Lebanon) was involved there.
As well, the biggest thing happening in the middle east right now is the surge of rebel uprisings.
