Speaking of handing out things at the gate I have been shortchanged on maps schedule booklet last year. I would not have figured they would have ran out after 10 hours in line it looked like half of Bonnaroo was still behind me. smurfs anyone have an extra booklet from last year? And they better have one this year cause I am hitting Manchester Wendsday night.
We did not get one in line last year, however we stopped by the information booth. They did not have much information but had lots of booklets.
roo 2006 was the first year i made it through the gate and did not recieve a map and schedule... havent been counting on one since. actually screw the map and schedule i want the cds they use to pass out!!!! anyone else remember those?
Yea those comemorative tickets are going to look stupid next to all my other bonnaroo tickets.
And I'm not a fan of plastic either...
I was thinking that last year we got VIP commemorative tickets there.... that was year ago... my memory sucks... so I am probably fabricating this all.

We haven't gotten a booklet since 2007! How they "run out" every year when only "they" know how many tickets they sold is beyond me. I've noticed every year they spend less on this kind of thing to maximize profits, so I guess maybe I do understand...$
Also, wasn't 2008 a purple cloth GA bracelet? I don't think they'll use the same color they have already used. I'll go with Orange as well.

Here's a link to show you what the GA wristbands look like, for those who are just too impatient to wait. (This isn't mine. I just happened across it just now.)

They may have run out at the entrance you were going in at that moment that you were going in but it's likely they didn't run out everywhere. Sometimes certain stations run out and they need to get the schedules/maps delivered to them. There's so much going on at that time that things get a little crazy. I've seen them handing out maps and booklets to people at the pods after they've entered. They usually have a ton of those things.
the plastic vip wristbands from last year, im my opinion at least, were very comfortable, and I appreciated the fact that it didn't get nearly as grimey as the cloth ones could.
"DO NOT PUT YOUR WISTBAND ON BEFORE YOU ARRIVE AT THE BONNAROO MUSIC FESTIVAL. Bonnaroo Staff will apply your wristband for you once you arrive at the festival gates. THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!"
haha. I love that it says "THIS IS IMPORTANT". That's code for just ignore everything I said.
It's time to take an over/under on how many people roll in with wristbands on anyway.
So how much do we think having volunteers apply the wristband is going to slow traffic down trying to get in? Does it have anything to do with opening the gates on Wednesday?

They have always been the ones to put your wristbands on. So it won't slow it down any more than previous years. It might infact speed up getting through the ticketing booths. In past years they had one individual scan your tickets, then one or two others would go around your car and put wristbands on everybody. Having the wristband/ticket combo might eliminate a few steps.

Still no email. I'm currently running under the theory that if I check it enough, the system will get tired and show the email, so I'll leave it alone.
Just got my 2 GA. not sure if I'm gonna like it on all weekend, the wide part is very, very wide. The thin cloth ones wore much better imo, but I'm stoked just to have them, quack if it gets me into bonnaroo, I'd wear it if it was made from poison ivy!
