Thanks NBF! So now if I change my vote to LLL then there would be a runoff between Bek and LLL. I don't know what it is but LLL is a little to quiet.
BTW. How does it feel when the person you formed a voting alliance with bumps you off? Well, I might go from zero votes to 10 but changing my vote has definitely caused some dialogue. If I go out as the first towny I might as well change again and get some people giving themselves away.
SFA: Are you feigning naivete that people from RI are well-versed in Mafia customs? Did you realize that LLL gave you a smack with her vote? Do you know what people in RI would think about that kiss or that vote?
No, The Sopranos is my all time favorite show. I know plenty about the Mafia. My point was that NYC, Jersey, Philly, Vegas and Chicago are the well known spots. In pop culture, RI isn't brought up much, outside of that Showtime show that I can't think of the name of.
Well, LLL and I are voting partners. The kiss probable has more to do with our private lives then a scene in The Godfather II or the fact that some Italian Americans kiss each others cheeks when greeting. Not saying she is innocent, but I don't know what you are getting at.
Bek, I think you are voting for kdogg because he's your regular voting partner and you don't have a lot of good options, but I'm not sure of a better way to go for a runoff than putting the person in who put in the first person. (Too much beer to say this better.)

For this reason, I propose a Bek vs. quacker runoff. quacker voted for both people who were leading/in the runoff at any point. I'm sure enough that one of these two is Mafia that I got a Brooers tent beer on it. First doubter gets the bet.
Accordingly, I think these two should switch their votes to one another. I won't trust either of them who won't, and I don't think any of you should either.
Ok, I'm not going to be around till tomorrow evening and I don't feel comfortable with LLL in the runoff when she hasn't done anything suspicious. I don't have any clue if LLL is mafia or not but I find Quacker's posts strange. It might just be a first time player thing. I'm just not sure.
I hate doing this because of the same reasons I gave last game. I don't find first time players that suspicious( Yes, I was Mafia last game but I honestly don't think of them as threat). Having said that....

What in the hell is going on here already? This is the first round! I know that everyone wants to say that everything is random, but I think for the most part the first time player/no mafia thing is true. It seems that there is a general understanding that it is RARE for noobies to be Mafia. Therefore, I find it safe to say that Quacker and Popsicle Sarah are unlikely Mafia suspects.
However, I also become really suspicious when one player starts targeting another without provocation. And that is why I am now suspect of Quacker as well. I am going to keep my vote for now and wait this one out.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

I've got to admit, I have no idea what's going on. Reading this game as an spectator is way different that being in it. I knew we would be assigned roles at the beginning and I was wishing with all my might "please don't let me be mafia, please don't let me be mafia" because it seems like being mafia would be really difficult for me. Well, now that I'm not mafia I'm seeing how being a townsperson is way more difficult than I thought it would be. At least as mafia you know who to trust.
Sorry if that seemed like a bunch of nonsense mumbling. I wanted to say something so you all would know I'm present and keeping track of what's being said, but I've got no idea what, if any, move to make at this point.
OK, here's my take. If all had gone as planned with the 5 voting partners I would be the one deciding who goes because my vote would be the second one for whomever I chose. As a noob I didn't want that responsibility but it was foisted on me. So I was perplexed as to what to do. If I was Mafia I would not have been so concerned about voting a fellow Towny off and would have smugly picked somebody off. Hence my scrambling to do the "not wrong" thing. I'm right there with Sarah as to the difficulty.

What are you basing this on? If Bacon used a random system for assigning roles, then the new players have exactly as much of a chance to be mafia as the ones who have played before. I definitely understand the desire to keep the new players around beyond the first round to actually give them a chance to play, but I don't think you can discount the likelihood of them being mafia just because they are new. For what it's worth, I have played 11 games of mafia, and I've been mafia in 6 of them (this game being my 5th time as a townsperson).
That said, I'm not sure what to make of quacker. He's bringing an awful lot of attention to himself to be a first-time player/mafia member. It would actually be a pretty bold strategy if he is mafia. Then again, I don't really know much about what he's like in general, so it's hard to judge.

Yeah, I do, but putting you in the runoff was basically just a bad option among other equally bad/worse options. And it was a better option than not having a runoff at all.

Bringing attention to myself is not something I strive to do but also not a new thing for me.
I'm not going to make deadlines unless there is someone who isn't voting. So basically voting will close when the discussion and vote changing dies down.
No offense, and I don't find you to be acting guilty, I just figured you seem less likely to change your vote.
None taken. Changing my vote to you wouldn't serve any purpose now anyhow, as noage changing his vote away from you means that my vote would only give you one vote. (Kind of like EAP's vote only gives noage one vote now that you've changed your vote off of him.)
I figure if there was a Mafia push going on somewhere, it was against either NoAge or myself. Here's hoping I was right... Bek's valuable as a Towny, but she's a force to be reckoned with if she's not.

Yes, but up to the point where I voted for her, she only had one post related to game play.

the one thing that has struck me as strange is the fact that popsicle sarah changed her vote.
you said you wanted a runoff with more people sarah, i gave you that by switching my vote to noage (after he switched to me). yet, you still changed your vote taking him OUT of the runoff.....any particular reason??? seems weird you would want to save him.
