Actually pretty glad about the schedule changes. Not going to be able to catch CANT anymore, but I now get to see Tim Hecker. And I'll be able to catch a bit of Neon Indian between M83 and SDV

Terry Riley is giving me a headache the more I think about it. I'd like to see some of SBTRKT then catch the last hour or so of Riley, but I would assume they will play "A Raindow..." near the beginning of the set. That's definitely what I'd like to hear the most. I like that CANT album, but that set just isn't in the cards.
Good Saturday! We're still working on the app, but we'll be sure to let everyone know (via Facebook) as soon as it's ready to launch. In the meantime, have fun putting my head on yourself, your cat, the neighbor's cat, your neighbor's kid or your grandma.

"Thanks to everyone for all of the positive feedback (mostly) on the newly revised schedule. We're so excited for this year's festival, and there are so many fun surprises in store too. Did we tell you about all of the secret shows planned in special locations throughout Asheville during the day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday? Oh...they wouldn't be secrets then, would they? Hint: be sure you're following us on Twitter and Facebook )"
So who has a smartphone with the facebook and twitter who can text my low-tech butt throughout the weekend to let me know about these?

Don't count on that. The Orange Peel will be full an hour before the Neon Indian show if I had to guess.

Neon Indian is playing at Thomas Wolfe now. They changed it when they updated the schedule the other day.

Also, I'd like to take this time to bitch for minute. I love Beats Antique. A lot. I discovered them on the Roo lineup, but had to miss Thursday and this miss their set. Then at Bisco, I missed their set because it took so long to get into the fest. I heard their set from my car while waiting in line.
It was pissed, until they were announced at Moogfest. When the day lineups came out I knew immediately that SDV, Beats Antique, and M83 would overlap. I've been trying to see M83 since 2007 or so, and would probably miss Beats Antique for that, but I've seen SDV once and would consider skipping it for BA. (I love Neon Indian and his show, but I've seen him 3 times so he's below those 3 on my must see list).
Well the schedule dropped and my prayers were answered!! Then they changed it all up and now BA and M83 overlap!!! I'm sooo pissed!!!!

My pumpkin carving entry is done except one finishing touch which has to wait until picture time. It doesn't look as good as I wanted it to, but I feel accomplished for having tried. Also, I got to use my cordless drill for it which is always fun.

Still working on my pumpkin. So far I've sacrificed a make up brush (couldn't find a paint brush), my best kitchen knife, and a lot of time. I believe one of the kid's toys is next but don't tell.
