I said it to LLL on Facebook last night: Ghostland is pretty much a must see to me. I caught the end of their Freefest set and ... holy quack that's amazing. The lasers might be one of the biggest light shows you see the entire weekend/year.
HEADS UP! Revised Moogfest 2011 schedule coming in the next little bit. A few changes dictated by artists' itinerary changes PLUS...yes, we've answered a few prayers too )

Yeah, I am a little nervous as well. Worried that things that weren't a conflict before will become one with the changes, but such things will happen with so many acts I want to see, so I'm not going to get bent out of shape about it.
I've seen Atlas Sound before but never The Antlers. Atlas Sound is a party. I'll be at Antlers
I've seen Atlas Sound before too, but I really enjoyed it and kind of want to see him again. I've never seen The Antlers, but there only a few songs I really enjoy by them. I'll probably just choose in the moment.
Really? This is a big conflict for me but I figured to go with The Antlers because it would be higher energy. So Atlas Sound brings the house down live? Hmmm... Can you tell me a little more?

My biggest conflict of the whole damn thing. Never seen either, but I have seen Deerhunter. I've heard that some of his AS shows are really hit or miss?
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Plan: Ghostland Observatory, Flaming Lips, TV on the Radio. Other than that, wander around with my friends and see stuff that they know is cool but I don't yet.

Most of this did not improve my experience. I'm guessing that they moved M83 and Drums to nearly identical times for crowd flow reasons?! Same for Glasser vs. Active Child? This will definitely decrease the quantity of music that I'll get to see during those times, was looking forward to bouncing back and forth early Sunday night between TWA and CC and seeing a larger portion of all the acts.
Friday: 6-7-austra 7-8-walking from orange peel to animoog playground, probably drop into mayer hawthorne/ beak/the antlers on the way 8-9-little dragon 9-10-tangerine dream 10-10:30-chromeo 10:30-12-moby 12-12:30-flying lotus 12:30-2-tv on the radio
causing a tiger, grimes
Saturday: 4-5-the naked & famous 5-6-roedelius 6:30-7-cant 7-7:45-stickmen 8-9:30-adrian belew 9:45-10-drop in on flaming lips 10:15-10:45-amon tobin 10:45-12:15-st. vincent 12:45-2-battles
with the changes at least i get to see the first part of amon tobin. suicide, sbtrkt and toro y moi
I get to see my top two choices (Tim Hecker and ISAM Live) back to back without moving and only a fifteen minute wait. Really can't get any better than that. After the changes though, it appears I will be spending almost 75% of my time at the Civic Center main venue during the weekend. I don't see a spot where I am going to walk over to the Orange Peel to catch anyone.
what a day ruiner umphreys mcgee and ghostland are my num 1 and 2 and I only have the day pass you think if we bitch enough they will push ghostland back an hour and a half
please space man you have to get it done plus that would make it perfect then I wouldnt have any conflicts at all and finish the night on a perfect note umphreys into ghostland
put em up gold panda and savoy please mooger gods make it happen(thats you spaceman)

The changes are awesome for me. It makes for much easier time splits in a few cases. The only thing I'm really bummed about is how much Battles and BBF overlap now, but I've seen Battles once already this year and can manage that one pretty easily.
maynardave - you won't be missing much in Cloudland. Horrible live band.
