Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Depended. I'm still bitter about Roo. It took me a lot longer to check in and out as I had to get a supervisor every time. When I asked for a new wristband I was told to go back to the gate at VIP to get one.
Not a normal story I know .. but one I'm still bitter about.

Its basically the same idea as a grocery store with the cashier scanning the bar code on an item. Worked very well for 99% of people at Roo from what I've gathered
Didn't make Roo last year and have never been to anything that used these RFID. What exactly does checking in and out entail?
I keep trying and trying to figure out how to embed... and I can't. Sigh. This link is somewhere else on this site as well. It was shown when we had questions about the RFID chip preRoo. It's a video of people entering Coachella using wristbands with an RFID chip in them.
They technically have the ability to store credit card information too.

Minus barcode technology and + RFID technology, but yes, I guess it does look the same. #nitpickinglikeajerk.

Even if they are jacked up I'm sure the process will be a lot easier to fix. This isn't a monster festival and like bonzai pointed out, It hasn't sold out.

So I just realized something. The initial ticket check in is at the arena, but the first set of the weekend (Matthew Dear) is a 10~ minute walk away at the animoog playground. How silly.

Ahh no big deal, I'm selling off everything in the house on craig's list today Maynard doesn't know it but he has a "job" tonight on the corner of Magnolia.

I'd say it's a logisitics thing. The arena is the biggest place that they have control of that won't be weather-affected. Also, if they set up at animoog you'd have the people waiting to check in on top of the people waiting for the show which would make both a little more hectic.

The male prostitutes don't work on Magnolia, silly.

Definitely, I understand why it's at the arena, I just don't understand why Matthew Dear isn't. Move them to the arena as well!

That's the second part of what I was saying. Having all the patrons at one place would make the whole process more hectic. I know not everyone is going to be checking in right then and not everyone is going to Matthew Dear, but they're probably going to try to spread people out as much as they can.

If they did I wouldn't be at the Playground at all. I'll be checking in right around 11 anyways.
