I think this year's lineup is AWESOME! ***I'm very proud to see EMINEM get top billing*** Traveling solo and looking forward to soaking up the sun, music, fresh air and happy people! ***Can't wait to meet you!***

I actually don't know of anyone on here that actually bought a ticket. There was this one girl that was pimping the bus. But she has since vanished and the kid that was putting the whole thing together was banned.

Yeah, I was thinking about doing this as well, but this site has helped me to decide against it.. the guy didn't really seem like he knew what he was getting himself into and all of the people that bought tickets all seemed like they were first timers. Didn't want to risk it. If you can't find a ride from someone else using these boards or other sites, I'd suggest doing Greyhound.

Also ask him if all the Bonnaroo virgins that are going on his bus are aware that going down and only being able to take "2 suitcases" worth of stuff each means that they can't possibly all bring tents, sleeping materials, clothing, coolers/food, shade tents, and other essentials, and that basically they're going down underprepared and ripe for a sh*tty time.
I went to their "message board" thingy, and he said that the bus isn't going to be sold out, therefore, they are using the back few rows on the bus for extra storage. But it's still crap... I mean, there are two of us, and we will have our 4-door car loaded down.
The user jniamehr has sent you a message: Re: Drop off Location Hi, Thanks for your question, we are still negotiating with the roo people but 99.999999% we get to use the shuttle entrance

So it's the same response as a month ago.
Oh wow, seriously? The rape bus leaves three weeks from today, and he STILL doesn't have a solid answer?
I feel like we need to contact these poor kids and offer them refuge at Camp Inforoo or something.
I agree, the bus sounds like Leno. But still, I did my first bonnaroo out of two suitcases and a backpack when I flew in. Put the tent and shade tent (not ezup) in one and stick in any extra things you can, then put food and gear in the other. Clothes in the backpack. For water we just had a collapsable 5 gallon water holder and filled it in the campgrounds water station.
Also, last year I took the Greyhound and had to walk with all my gear. It was terrible, but I'm sure his drop off point will be around the same distance, so it's on the level of Greyhound basically.
Holy fucking Leno. Is there some way we can warn all his current attendees? I feel like he's leading a bunch of 19-year-old kids into a goddang deathtrap.
Maybe. On the website that the event is posted I had to sign up to ask a question. I'm assuming everyone else did as well. I can see if I can get ahold of the other people that have bought tickets and send them a link to the original thread.
Maybe JN is also planning on selling EZ ups outside of Centeroo after his flock of Noobs has been there a day? Oh Bad Dobby!!
I really hope this goes down better than what our guts are saying will happen. It would be terrible for so many new Roo-ers to have a collectively crappy Roo.
A few folks left their facebook pages when they RSVP'd. And imagine that, they are all female.
I'm telling you, it was no coincidence that this guy was only posting about the bus in threads like "2 21 year old girls need ride" or "super hot flexible high school girl looking for a ride." I don't think he's a rapist (well, at least I seriously fucking hope not), but it certainly seems like he's trying to place the odds in his favor for a little whistle-whetting on the Death Bus.
And honestly, that's a good way to do it. Organize a bus trip with like 40 girls and 5 guys? To a place where you're going to be partying non-stop? Fish in a barrel.
True. And don't forget the DJs they'll have spinning on the bus to help promote the Death bus mood! And the fact that you can drink your alcohol on the bus!

Was thinking the same thing JHO. However it does not apply just to this bus load, though their odds of this not going well seem considerably higher. Sounds like a lot of first timers this year.
My concern about this group.. vastly Noobs. Most likely not InfoRooers. If they are reading inforoo and still signed up for this high risk trip given that this is not an established business with experience at Rooing (sorry about the run on.. reading too much Lono lately) then perhaps one could reasonably question their judgement skills. Combined with the lack of knowledge that IRoo'ers share on how to survive roo (ie what to bring). Sounds like a dangerous recipe.
I have visions of a flock of young girls walking around with 2 suitcases of clothes and curling irons looking for the electrical outlets.
If any of the experienced Roo'ers see ^^^ please lend a hand if you can and bring the Noobs into the flock.
Itrainmonkeys or anyone from the area, what do you make of the meet up place in Clinton Hill?
I use to live in Brooklyn and had a temp job a couple blocks away from his meet up point. I feel that it's all about his grocery store being right next to the Park and Ride. I mean Clinton Hill isn't the easiest area to access from the MTA or for people driving into NYC in general. The whole thing was just so self centered.

SFA - Not from the area however agree with this. The grocery store located at the pick up point and plugged in the announcement also appears to be this companies earliest contract/client.
I need to walk away from this thread. Had trouble falling a sleep last night. The Q/A suggests the attendees can drink on the bus all the way to TN. (Is everyone at least of legal age.) If this happens they could be dehydrated before they even get to the farm. Hope the Roo gods keep an eye on this group and favor them.
I'm from Brooklyn originally. He is going to run into two things with the location and timing of leaving. Firstly traffic, 5pm-7pm is not fun at all, especially since he will be leaving NYC (I hope he goes through the Verezzano Bridge, and not Manhattan). The location also sucks for subway access, and anyone who is going to take the subway there with all their gear will enjoy the beginning of rush hour and full subway trains.

This is all accurate. My roommate drove from Brooklyn to my place in the Bronx (less than 15 miles) during rush hour and it took him over 2 hours to get home yesterday.
Honestly? This bus sound like a scam/nightmare every time it gets brought up. I never looked into it, but there are enough people from NY/NJ/CT on here looking for rides that people should be able to get a van or something. But sketchy Brooklyn Bonnaroo Buses make my BS alarm go nuts.
Ok. Well the good thing is that most of these girls and boy left their first and last name on the web site along with their general location. I'm assuming they are mostly of college age, so I'm also assuming they are pretty attached to their social networks. I'll see what I can do as far as tracking them down and sending them the links to this thread and the original bus thread so at least they can get some information.
Maybe I'll include some of the threads about packing too.
Here is the thing though. Do these people really have an alternative? I mean that bus isn't worse then a greyhound, and plane tickets are outrageous.
Also unless one is in New York State you can't rent a car if you are under 21 (and the fees for that are usually $80+per day for underage fee).
I would say just warn them that it wont be all rosy, and prepare, but at this point I'm thinking short of looking for rides on inforoo this is the best alternative for anyone under 21 (over 21 one can get a decent rental car deal in most places).

Actually, I looked into renting a car when it appeared as if I wasn't going to have my own ride. Thankfully, my friend was able to convince his significant other to let us take their Chevy Envoy.
But the fees, generally, are $35 per day if you're under 25. All-in-all, these people could group themselves into groups of 4 and split the cost of renting a car (and gas) for probably $150 a person. I was finding mid-sized SUVs and 4-door cars for about $350 from Wednesday the 8th until Monday night.
So, basically, these people just didn't do the due diligence and are panicked. No chance I would pay the same price as a Roo ticket to drive down on a bus, when for less money I could rent a car.
Does the fact that he's using the name Bonnaroo for something that's not really associated with Bonnaroo have any weight?
Quick, we need a lawyer!
If they want to, they could. "Bonnaroo" is trademarked and therefore, AC/Superfly have the rights to the name and anyone using the name to promote their own business (without the consent of Roo) is liable for a cease and desist order from Ac/Superfly.
