Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Ok. Well the good thing is that most of these girls and boy left their first and last name on the web site along with their general location. I'm assuming they are mostly of college age, so I'm also assuming they are pretty attached to their social networks. I'll see what I can do as far as tracking them down and sending them the links to this thread and the original bus thread so at least they can get some information.
Maybe I'll include some of the threads about packing too.
I want to say that jniamehr said something about this.
But it can't be all up to him. He is using a third party company to sell the tickets. I would assume they could cancel their order through that company.
Besides. I think there were some refunds because he kept putting more tickets for sale at different prices.
So these kids can't get refunds... that's really $hitty.
Karen, point them to the Camp Inforoo thread, so they will know where they can go if they need help or anything at all. (Make sure they look for the baby flag) Also to the Helping Hands thread, in case they can't bring everything they need; maybe someone can provide them with shade and/or water.

Unless leo shows up out of the blue we will not have a picture of his baby this year.

Just like Ticketmaster is a 3rd party ("middle man"), refunds aren't possible. If you buy a ticket to a show, you can sell it yourself, but you can't get a refund. I don't know if you can re-sell these tickets (I think you can), but you can't get a refund.
I can't go to MSG directly for a refund to a concert I bought tickets for, and you can't go directly to the bus company for a refund as this guy is essentially operating as an agent for the bus company.
Itrainmonkeys or anyone from the area, what do you make of the meet up place in Clinton Hill?
I use to live in Brooklyn and had a temp job a couple blocks away from his meet up point. I feel that it's all about his grocery store being right next to the Park and Ride. I mean Clinton Hill isn't the easiest area to access from the MTA or for people driving into NYC in general. The whole thing was just so self centered.
I'm a little further east from that area. Don't really know Clinton hill too well. Sure hope the bus turns out okay.....would suck for your first trip to Roo to be a huge hassle.
Thanks for doing the follow up Karen. This 'bus' has left the station and the Mary Poppins in me was wondering how we could turn our concerns into a caring response. As JHo said above, the links for information on packing/surviving and camp inforoo would be great.
I think one of my missions if I make it to Bonnaroo this year will be to talk to at least one person that took this bus. I just want to hear from someone how successful it was or wasn't.

Well, you have those people's info. If they respond you could probably just ask one of them to meet up at Roo for a rundown of how good/bad the experience actually was (if you don't convince them other means of travel are better than the bus).
(if you don't convince them other means of travel are better than the bus).
Well that's the issue... at this point, it doesn't matter if there are other/better travel options. They've bought their bus ticket and can't get a refund so they are probably stuck (unless they sell it to some other unsuspecting soul). At this point it would probably be wiser to point them in the direction of good threads on Inforoo.

I understand that. Unfortunately, the younger generation (which I happen to be a part of) doesn't know how to research things. It took me all of 10 minutes to find multiple methods of travel that are more legitimate and either the same price or cheaper.
I would say sell the tickets to someone, but then they'd just be putting another person in the situation (like you said).
Those poor, unsuspecting, first-timers are in for a rude-awakening. If I happen to run into any, I'll offer them some rest in my canopy village and some cold beverages. I remember my first Roo, and how woefully unprepared I was despite overpacking. I can only imagine what it would have been like if I only had two bags with me.
Wow, what a load of Leno. After I sent this message to about 10 people
I’m just sending you a message with some information in it that will hopefully help you plan for your trip. I’m a member of Inforoo.com. That website is full of useful information that any first time Bonnaroo attendee should study. Following are a few key spots to read.
I also see that you’re taking the Bonnaroo Bus from NYS to this fantastic destination. I’m not going to lie. The main reason I’m sending you a message in the first place is because me and a few others are very concerned with this method of travel. After talking to the person that is orchestrating this bus trip we were worried that he wasn’t being honest and didn’t really know what he was doing. Unfortunately he insisted that everything was fine and well planned without any proof to back that up. Below is another discussion that I think would be a good read for you. Please let me or any of the people on Inforoo.com know if you have any questions regarding your adventure. It’s probably too late in the game to change your plans if you wanted but maybe these discussions can better help you prepare for what still can be the best weekend ever.
Karen - If you PM me the next 5-9 names on the list I'll try to send out a set of them with your note above. Have FB but only because some friends threatened to break my fingers if i did not sign up. I dont mind getting banned. : )

If you do a google search for Joshua Niamehr, there are at least five pages of how awesome he thinks he is. And the same damn article repeated a dozen times of how Facebook accidentally charged him $8 million.
Also, he apparently used to live in my hometown. Not surprising, the many prep schools and colleges in the area, plus the general atmosphere of wealth and privilege tends to produce any number of self-serving, pompous, sanctimonious ultra-liberal cockbreath assholes.
Sounds like a good place for me to find a husband! Perhaps I should plan a poorly-executed bus to Connecticut (or wherever) for single and desperate ladies?

Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I'm from Brooklyn originally. He is going to run into two things with the location and timing of leaving. Firstly traffic, 5pm-7pm is not fun at all, especially since he will be leaving NYC (I hope he goes through the Verezzano Bridge, and not Manhattan). The location also sucks for subway access, and anyone who is going to take the subway there with all their gear will enjoy the beginning of rush hour and full subway trains.
Not just subway but buses too. It's going through gentrification but Clinton Hill was a low income neighborhood and has limited subway access. The G train is the only subway that runs through there and the G train is possible the most useless route in the MTA. It's certainly one of the worst in Brooklyn. Most people in NYC would have to take the subway to Atlantic Ave.(Main connection point for Brooklyn's subways), then walk to Myrtle Ave. and take a bus through Fort Hill.
Such a hassle to get to his grocery store.

I think we should get the Behind the 'Roo video guys over to where they end up dropping these poor kids off. They might actually film something noteworthy and it might be good to give this douchebag some notoriety -oops, I mean publicity.

We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Or just be on the lookout for a pack of young girls wandering around lost with their 2 suitcase and film it yourself. Youtube gold.
