Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.

BFE, or the 007 Camps, are kinda to the right and behind the What Stage. I would say it's still a good bet you will get parked there if you arrive earlier on Wednesday.
Tent Only on the map is the green color coded camping sections. It's basically right in front of the arch. You can be parked close or extremely far away from TO. Wherever you get parked in GA is your allotted campsite fer the weekend. However if you wish to move your gear to TO and have a closer spot but not be near your car you are free to do so. However space is limited so get to TO sooner than later to secure your spot!
BFE is nothing compared to the Super BFE way north.
I was parked in "BFE" beside What Stage last year and it honestly wasnt that bad. The side entrance and VIP cut through made it bareable. I still took a lot of taxis.
I honestly think what we used to consider BFE is no longer that bad. I was in the very back of Spicoli and that is roughly the same distance to the arch as it would be from James Bond. Now that they've expanded way up in the corner of the map THAT is what I will consider BFE. I would pay for two taxis to drag my junk to Tent Only if I ended up back there.

First year BFE. Last year right near the side entrance.
From my experience BFE isn't that bad. It encourages you to STAY in Centeroo, as the trek back to your camp just isn't worth it for a beer or snack.
Just make sure that you protect your property. Lock up your coolers, bags, etc in your auto - especially if you are in BFE. It seemed like most of the reports of theft were out in BFE.
HOLY SHIT!! Looking at that just gave me The Fear! I've pretty much got my heart set on TO but wow those camps that are actually further away from the festival than the freaking tollbooth where you enter....that is insane! There's no way, I'd have to take a couple of taxi rides to get there.

Question about the Taxis. I never used them in 2010 because we were reasonably close in an RV camping area. Are therelike Taxi stands that you wait at? Or do you just jump in front of one if you spot it coming down the road? How does it work?

Super BFE is way worse than any other site including BFE. We got put in Quagmire last year...ugh don't remind me. We had friends in BFE last year and we walked to their site on Thursday, realizing that our walk took over 40 min to make it to Centeroo while our BFE buds had a maybe 25 min walk to the arch. I might just show up real early and deal with being in BFE so I don't wind up there again. So out of the way of everything. But the plus side of being that far out is you really do see all of Roo. You pass by majority of campsites, Shakedown, Fakedown and plenty of good food options. You'll see the makeshift stages for the bands out at the campsites. You'll make your late night trek back into Centeroo with an ever growing crowd joining you with all the outfits, EL wire and glow sticks. You'll see over three POD art projects. It's a real good way to see everything outside of Centeroo. But a serious PITA.

We were in Stewie Griffin last year. It was a loooong walk home, but an amazing experience. My advice, if you get stuck in BFE, embrace it. Have a good time and roll with it. I got 267 high fives on my way home Saturday night last year. If I was closer I wouldn't have broke 200, so there's that.

BFE is pretty bad, worse if you run into a mud situation like 2004 or 2009. It's pretty key to land a spot closer to Centeroo. In fact, I'd even say it's underrated. Having home base be within a few hundred yards of Centeroo is a huuuuge advantage. BUT... If you end up in BFE, you'll still have a blast. If you come prepared for the conditions (and you always lock your stuff up), there's nothing that can ruin your good time at Roo. What a fest.
If camped in SuperBFE, sponsor a ticket for Bear Grylls and bring him with. He may quit by Saturday afternoon, but it'll still be money well spent. Make sure he leaves his compass and rabbit jerky before he crawls out.
We got stuck out there twice in the early years, literally in the last lot on the grounds. It was semi-peaceful, and we had great neighbors both times. But it was Trail of Tears into Centeroo each day. Can't muster for that no more.
I might just show up real early and deal with being in BFE so I don't wind up there again. So out of the way of everything.
That's why I go so early. Is there better than BFE? Certainly. But being one of the first to go in almost guarantees you BFE rather than mayyyybe close to Centeroo or mayyyyybe in Stewie Griffin. I'd rather "know" where I am ending up.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I've gotten stuck out in BFE the last 3 years I've been...and decided that my happiness weighs more on my proximity to the portos. If I have to walk more than a couple of minutes and wade through a sea of tents and guylines during the middle of the night for a potty break, I am NOT happy camper.
I made peace with BFE last year...but definitely had to take taxis a few times.
BFE/007 provided me with my two favorite (overall, without the first year nostalgia) campin' experiences in '09/'10. I would love to get camped there again!

This! My two best years for camping were '09 and '10 when we were in Pod 1. It almost becomes it's own little community back there.
As for super BFE, yeah, it's that bad. We were in Stewie Griffin last year and man that sucked!

I got stuck in SUPER BFE in 09. The trip back and forth took at least 50 minutes and that included walking kinda fast at times. I was so far back that there was no one BEHIND my group. I think even Camp Stewie did not claim us.

Are the POD 1 portos closer to the camping than other pods? Last year was my first year and we were in BFE. I didn't think it was that bad. 20-25 min walk was fine with me. I never took a taxi.

I was checking out my bonnaroo map from last year and it says that map that there is 24 hour access path from southeast BFE that cuts between the vip and mainstage, did anybody use this?and was it open 24/7?

Yes, I used it. Is was 24/7, the entire time. Its cuts right by the What entrance that opens on Friday. Took about 25 min to get to the arch. Only about 20 min to the What entrance once it opened.
In 2010 my sister was in BFE and my husband and I were in Guest.
For us to go visit her is was actually that bad. That walk sucked. It sucked for me the most right before Regina when I met up with my sister and our friend Beth. They were both spunions. I checked their bag and the only things they had on them was a purse with airplane bottles of vodka. So I made the trip back to their tent to collect their belongings and necessities from the ground of their camp site. I also locked their car door and zipped up their tent. All things that they overlooked while giggling their way to Regina.
Needless to say. BFE from my expierence sucked. It was hot and annoyiung. And the pnly thanks I got was "KAREN, WHERE WERE YOU, WE MISSED YOU" #SLOBBERY KISSES FROM SPUNNED SISTER.

I haven't been back to BFE and don't plan on it.
But you were a great sister, in the circumstance. There's karma rebounds in that.
