I did not see a recent thread for this festival. It is announcing its line up next week. Right around 2 dozen bands have already been leaked. I will be intrigued to see if it can match the Hangout Fest down the road in Gulf Shores. Pensacola is very nice in the Fall and a great line up could launch this fest into the mainstream. Has anyone heard any headliner rumors?
Deluna was a total Chadfest last year......holy shit, worst crowd I've EVER seen. There were some heads and festi people around, but mostly complete idiots here. I mean cowboy boots in the sand stupid. The free day was very cool last year, saw Honey Island Swamp Band>Galactic>Willie Nelson for free, so that was sick. And you can actually get to the water, we had a LOT of fun in the water during Willie! The crowd will probably be better this year.
The main thing that bothers me about this fest is how they are completely ripping Hangout off, half-assed at that, and trying to claim being original.
Btw, I just bought my ticket for this. It's 99$ right now, and it will go up within a few days. An hour from my house and New Pornographers are playing.... I expect them to get Panic too.
Asobi Seksu; AWOLNATION; Bad Books; Bear Hands; Bettye LaVette; Big Boi; Blackbells; Cold War Kids; Cowboy Mouth; Cut Copy; Dinosaur Feathers; Dirty Heads; DLP; Eerie Rockwell; Free The Robots; Gary Fields; Ghostland Observatory; Givers; Griffin House; Grouplove; Hands; Honey Island Swamp Band; Jane’s Addiction; JJ Grey & Mofro; K. Flay; Kermit Ruffins & The Barbecue Swingers; Kevin Devine; Kitt Lough; Ladytron; Manchester Orchestra; Matt & Kim; Motopony; Mr. Fahrenheit; Mute Math; Nico Vega; Nico’s Gun; Paloma; PS I Love You; Ra Ra Riot; Robbers On High Street; Royal Bangs; Saints Of Valory; Sleeper Agent; Stars; Still Corners; Stone Foxes; The Airborne Toxic Event; The Constellations; The Hood Internet; The Icarus Effect; The Infamous Stringdusters; The; Limousines; The Listening; The Little Death; The New Pornographers; The Parlotones; The War On Drugs; Toubab Krewe; Wallpaper.; Wanda Jackson; Weezer; Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band
Bands I will be at- Jane's Addiction, Dirty Heads, Ghostland, Honey Island, JJ Grey, Kermit Ruffins, Ladytron, Mute Math, Constellations, Infamous Stringdusters, New Pornographers, Toubab Krewe, Wanda Jackson....maybe Weezer hahaha. A ton of bands I've never heard of. This fest has a surprising indie lineup, very cool for the dirty south.
Wow, that's a pretty nice lineup... never even heard of this fest before. Tickets are only $150. Hmm... now to find some people that might want to go....
Seriously... caddyshaq and I can't be the only ones that are down with this lineup. I'm more impressed with this than most of the others I have seen to date.
I bought my $99 ticket a few days ago. I must say I'm very pleased w/what I'm getting for $99. I'm excited for it. I had a blast at Hangout and I expect this to be similar.

Just found out about this festival. I really like the lineup but I don't want to stay in a hotel. Is there camping available? suggest a good place to camp? Hangout was too expensive with the hotel.

So we are going to camp at fort pickens which is about 10 miles away. i hope there is a shuttle. I'm surprised there isn't much interest in this fest. Too similar to Hangout and too close in dates to Voodoo i guess. After the sellouts for hangout and roo I'm looking forward to a low key fest anyway. I hope this one does not sell out

Not crazy excited about this lineup yet (only a few bands that'll be first-times) but I am confident there will be some good adds... Happy to have gotten a $99 ticket, though!

going only 30 minutes down the road i missed hang out this year so this is gonna be like a second chance for me plus theres alot more local music from where im from so thats great to see bands ive seen in peoples backyards, houses, and local venues playing with major bands plus this years is like 1000 times better then last year there was so much douchey rock acts last year that i had like zero interest in going.i promise this years crowds will be a lot better

Being that you are a Zappa fan, you know whats up total douche crowd last year. Toughguy bros in jeans and boots on the beach lol
Cowboy Mouth was the most cringeinducing musical experience I've had in years...... Deems on the beach (in the water) during Willie Nelson was quite a memorable experience though.
Wow, a word filter for d-bag now? It's humorous for moderators of a droog-festival messageboard to be THAT anal about language.
Don't go to this festival expecting the Hangout. It's totally different. The beach is cool, but the fest last year was like 1% regular festival-goers and 99% randoms/locals.
