Pretty impressive. What's that, a week and half after the lineup dropped? Assuming they're running the books right, at least we know they'll have the cash on hand to hire some good acts next year as well.
So i have a condo and no ticket. Shouldn't be that big of an issue.
You weren't able to purchase tickets with your realty company? The realty companies will probably have extra tickets for sale also. I know last year when we went to check-in at Meyer Realty they were offering GA tickets for sale when the Fest had been sold out for awhile. I think each Realty company gets a set amount of tickets to sell with their condo rentals and then they just sell the extras. I still need 2 more tickets for my group and plan on calling Meyer and seeing if they have extras.

Does anyone know when the rest of the lineup drops? Also this is my first hangout. I usually am at Bonnaroo. I went to Lolla two years ago I am hoping Hangout isn't the same type of scene.

you will love the hangout scene. Lots of young people happy to be alive. lots of older people happy to not be in a crowd of 100,000 plus. smiles for miles
Let's see, last year's first round additions were:
The Avett Brothers STS9 Grace Potter and the Nocturnals Brandi Carlile JJ Grey and Mofro Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe Big Gigantic Soja Railroad Earth Greensky Bluegrass Rival Sons Honey Island Swamp Band
And ones I can find from 2010 are huge:
FLIPS Trey Ben Harper and R7 The Funky Meters Ray LaMontagne
I'd say we can't build any expectations based on 2010's additions with that being the inaugural year, but with only 2 years for data it's hard to know any trends just yet. I'd expect something similar to last year's.
The best I can tell your list is correct except that in 2010 the FLIPS were a cancellation not an addition, they were replaced by The Roots.
I honestly don't think the guy who owns my condo knew about hangout. It was like 650 for a week for a 2 bedroom. And after the lineup dropped he emailed me saying I was lucky I got it when I did cuz lots of people want that week.
Is it possible to be from the Gulf Shores area and not know??? I wouldn't want to know the guy if he lives that secluded! My condo costs less than that (for a 2 bedroom) if you subtract the security deposit. SUPER reasonable!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Of the two people we rented our condos from for the last two years, neither lived anywhere near Gulf Shores or knew anything about the festival. We get our condos through VRBO though as soon as the dates are released as opposed to a realty company.
I stayed at Island Winds East the past two years and last year, when I checked in there was a flyer that said "rebook your condo for next year so you get the same room! It had the dates on it wayyyyyyyy before they were officially announced. If they do it again I'll be sure to post on here so everyone can get the best room possible for next year.

Interesting. We booked through VRBO and a review from a past renter said, "Jeff is very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. Ask him for recommendations!" Or something of the like. So the owner either lives nearby or at least frequents the area.

This is my first time at hangout, and I was suprised how cheap our condo is. I think we are paying $136 a night for a place on the beach. I'm really excited. Should be a cool weekend with a great lineup (personally there's more bands that I'm pumped for Hangout than Roo).
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

bon iver is certainly POSSIBLE, wish list............1. any form of the dead ( even dark star would be epic) 2. big k.r.i.t 3. thievery / any killer dance show 4. zach deputy 5. late night umphreys
Didn't notice if anyone mentioned, but on the "100 tix left" FB post, Hangout said that there will def be artist additions, but that there is no timetable for it.
I think they will get Tony Clifton headlining for comedy stage. If Lolla is probably getting At The Drive In, I think there is a chance that they could be playing Hangout too. Tenacious D daytime set @ Hangout is a seriously possibility too I think.
So there is a late night at Jazzfest on Saturday May 5th......Primus/Tony Clifton/DeadKennyG's Gonna be pretty epic.......might mean we get some of them at Hangout. I know there are a few weeks in between but festivals pay good and acts will travel.

I wouldn't necessarily say that gap is mysterious considering he (they?) has nearly a full month gap after Jazz Fest, with a Canadian tour beginning the day after Hangout. If anything, the Canadian dates and the fact that he will be in NOLA less than a month before make him look unlikely.
