Ser, its time for some kangfirmations. I've still heard zero good rumors, just speculation.
I do think the lineup will be stellar. I'm hoping for at least one knock your socks off headliner. Hangout has received a ton of positive attention, this is their year to cement themselves as a premier festival destination.
They are keeping the lineup very tightlipped. I haven't been able to get any names from my buddy that is with Huka. He gave me a wink when I said Gov't Mule though. Lots of Colorado people have been saying SCI is def playing.
I think they are going to have a major lineup that is going to surprise everyone. I think they'll have Jane's Addiction and Tool on the lineup. Radiohead is not very hopeful but you never know. Radiohead might want to play on the beach, who wouldn't?
The guy who owns the festival is a bit of an egomaniac and he won't rest until the fest is in the very top tier. He has practically unlimited money and will use it to bring fame to the area. He owns a lot of businesses of all types in the area.
Ya know, Manders... you could fly over for Hangout Fest and couch-surf with various Inforoosters for the 3wks between Hangout & 'Roo... just a thought!
I found out they announced the lineup on February 1 last year. So, if the schedule holds true, we still have a few weeks to go. I am guessing next week we get an announcement about the lineup announcement.

My sister (or my sister and her husband) might be down to come! They'll let me know soon. And I just found out a bunch of guys from my high school (most if not all of these guys have been to Roo) bought presale tix and have booked their condo as well! Can it be May yet?!?!?

I would like to predict: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, RHCP, and Furthur.
i'm think we get a bigger name in there somewhere though. something crazy on the level of mccartney EJ etc. i have no inside knowledge to back this up i'm just expecting something spit your food out your mouth crazy when the lineup drops.

Totally agree. They seem ambitious, so I'm sure they're gunning for a huge name. I'm hoping it's McCartney or Radiohead, although I'm not sure how likely either will be.
Has anyone heard rumors about The Raconteurs touring? They just did those two festivals and two headlining tour dates last fall, so they're probably gearing up for something. I think they would be a perfect fit for a Hangout sub-headliner.

Agreed. Raconteurs were great at voodoo, I would gladly take a repeat at hangout. They'd be perfect in that MMJ/black keys slot.
