In the ER waiting on X-rays to see how bad I broke my left wrist. Skating of course, with wrist guards. Not sure how I did it, but fell pretty hard. Hopefully it's not bad, especially since I was wearing gear.

The ER is so backed up. I downloaded my results, it looks like a clean break. I'm probably going home and calling my doctor in the morning.
I'm really sorry vieux. That is painful and difficult to deal with. Is it your dominant hand?
Luckily, I have broke that one so good that it is now bionic and can't (most probably) break again. So it's the left one. I tried to go to Walgreen's to get a splint and was told it was closed. So still in my wristguard.
EDIT: I never even was given a fucking tylenol. They asked my pain and I said a 7, but since I was smiling and cool headed I don't think they believed me. I really need to get on this screaming in pain thing people do.

You must be like my wife, way too tough for your own good. If I’m sick or hurt you’re going to know it.She’ll say she doesn’t feel good but it’s hard to ever know how bad it is because she doesn’t show it.
Been chatting with my doctor. It's a radial fracture. She's getting me in with an Ortho. It's a clean break, but she's going to make sure I'm taken care of.

So glad you're getting that taken care of and they're taking care of you.
Chin up! There's no way you can serve drinks with a busted mit. Hoping you have a few good forced days off.
Friday shift done. 90% ok, other than my dumb ass trying to grab a case of bud. My wrist is a little sore this morning, another shift today, but I was promised I wouldn't have to stock again. Sunday is a short shift at Urban South, so hopefully it won't be bad. Closing will suck for sure though. Katie is opening for me on Monday so I can go to my Orhto and then I close. That day will suck but then I am off again until Friday, so I will get some good R&R for the wrist.
Hopefully the ortho appt will go smoothly. I am already over being broken, but would rather this break than my shattered right wrist any fucking day.
Three posts in a row, I am on a roll. Went to the Ortho today, my radial is barely even broken. It less than a hairline and isn't even all the way through, it is just lightly cracked.
In my soft cast (splint) for 5 weeks, well actually 6 since 5 weeks is between Christmas and the New Year and how dare I even think of trying to go to the doctor that week. Next appointment will get an x-ray and if it all goes as plan, I'll be out the cast too. Just have to take it easy, not lift heavy shit, take off my splint nightly and exercise it lightly and I should be good. Wrist guard did it's job. I am a lucky girl.

between Christmas and New Year barely counts as time, it's some liminal space that we all go through
