Spotify continues to throw songs that make no sense into my curated playlist. It suggested Crank That (Soulja Boy) and played it between Fleet Foxes and Head and the Heart and I was extremely confused
You can turn that feature off by just adjusting your random settings if you don't like it.
and doesn't TM know you're really into , god i wish i fucking remembered what band it is they keep trying to sell you on....the eagles? abba? god damnit i can't finish the joke cuz i'm a loser

oh yeah i've soon Tool a bunch and am looking forward to the show, just confused as to why tm is asking me if i'm ready for the Luke Bryan show.
styx is the band TM is trying to gaslight me about.
no one else is definitely a fun listen but unfortunately the themes are too cringe to put it near the top. rivers’s vocals are awesome in that last chorus tho. my blue album ranking personally:
1. the world has turned and left me here. top 3 weezer. song. probably the best guitar work weezer has done, especially on the early demo with jason cropper on guitar.
2. say it ain’t so. it’s the most popular for a reason. also a top 10 all time bridge. my go to karaoke song 3 beers deep. it also a keeps all the women away afterwards which my girlfriend appreciates.
3. only in dreams. weezer’s odyssey. absolutely thrilled they brought it back live. the instrumental bridge that’s a metaphor for jerking off is a little silly but it kicks ass so what are ya gonna do?
4. my name is jonas. THE WORKERS ARE GOOOOING HOOOOOME. YEAHHHHH YEAHHHH YEAHHHHHHHH
5. holiday. 6/8 time banger. highlights rivers and matt sharp’s chemistry that we never saw enough of.
6. the sweater song. that guitar solo kicks ass. essential cut on any carpool karaoke playlist i make. the fact that this song is 6 just further proves how fucking off the wall this album is.
7. no one else. banger but the lyrics keep this one down.
8. surf wax america. idk why but this one doesn’t do it for me like it does for everyone else? it’s still a blast to listen to. why “you take you’re car to work, i’ll take my board” hasn’t become the official war cry of the anti-car lobby i will never understand.
9. in the garage. i’m not a fucking nerd so i don’t get it.
10. buddy holly. the most weezer weezer song in a good way. a great little tune, but i can only hear it in so many tiktoks before it loses its charm, which unfortunately it has.

Sweet breakdown. But one of the things I love about No One Else is how fuckin dark the subject matter is, whereas the instrumentation sounds like this happy little love tune. Agree it's a great vocal performance.
the world has turned. my name is jonas only in dreams say it ain't so in the garage undone (without that guitar solo/outro this might be on the bottom. it was always fun as hell to play this song at shows) surf wax america no one else holiday buddy holly

as a life long vikings fan that has married into a family that is lions fan i have to outwardly root for them but internally idk if i can handle them winning a super bowl
i'm biased because i've been a forum/message board guy since the pre-internet days when i used to dial into local BBS's with my 2400 baud modem so i could talk about games and local metal shows from bands with names like Gorgasm, but there are no social media platforms that come close to generating discussion like an old school message board. threads, posts in time order, and avatars and names giving you distinctive personalities you can get to know and learn to trust.
smaller subreddits about niche topics come the closest to approximating a message board, but once a community even gets to medium size the upvote/downvote system destroys any discovery process and turns everything into an echo chamber, and the lack of visual avatars makes it hard to get to know anybody. like here i know what people to trust when it comes to metal, or country, or dance music. i know their biases and preferences, i roughly know their ages and experience levels when it comes to music, or for that matter TV or movies. as such, reddit is really best for google searching and finding the popular response to very specific questions, like "who was that playing the centaur character on comedy bang bang" or "best ivy-style tapered chinos".
i think facebook has really tried to create communities based around interest areas and facilitate discussion therein, but the end result is just awful. the way replies are sorted by "important" or sometimes just don't show up at all unless you click three things ruins any sense of discussion. not to mention facebook is filled with crazy people who don't know how to interact with humans. and obviously twitter and instagram aren't really setup for discussion at all.

Lions fans aren’t ready for it either if that makes you feel any better

LOL, I remember when getting a 14.4k modem was a big deal. I got one for Christmas as a teenager, and our phone line was almost never available for use as a phone line after that. Those were the days, when you'd have to dial in to see if anyone replied to your BS or gave you shit. The technology then was garbage by today's standards but we made it work beautifully.

I did mention before that I ran a BBS on my computer with some dumbass in the 90s? The D & Z Connection. I was disintegration and dumbass was Ziggy Stardust. We did a lot of music boards, but we had N'AwlinsNet also, we ran virtualnet also, before the internet was just pure streaming to connect with other BBS'.

A local restaurant is about to reopen around campus after changing locations. They used to be in part of a gas station and are now going to be in their own location. In their old location, they were robbed at one point, and at least partly because of that experience, they’ve announced that they are going to be cashless. I think this makes total sense, but people are losing their everloving minds! You would think that this restaurant had announced they were going to come to people’s houses and spit on their babies and take all their guns away. No shit, at least two of the many people complaining were mad because “this is America!” Yes, it is, dummy, which means that this business can decide whether or not it wants to accept cash in exchange for its food. I know that there are reasons to prefer paying cash, but why not just not go to the cashless place instead of getting morally outraged about the situation? Especially given the place’s history and having completely legitimate concerns about having cash. Anyway, I had no particular plans to visit this restaurant any time soon, but I guess I’m going to have to go now just to spite a bunch of people who will have literally no earthly idea that I’m doing that.

One of my sons has gotten super into Legos the past few years. Putting together sets weekend after weekend and playing nonstop. I asked him what the goal was while we are on vacation and he told me he wanted to build a big city.
Needless to say, the tables and shelving arrives today and I’m stoked his dreams start to take shape. This one’s for you, D. My step-dad was too much of a fucker to take interest and I swore I wasn’t gonna be him.

Mrs. Fitter Happier and I crying over a cereal
I’m crying because he has two train sets that I have zero idea how to fit into his city. We’ve laid it out 3 times and just with those alone, it’s gonna be massive lol
Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither will Brickerton.

If you block the user and click hide posts then it at least takes out the wall of text till the Mods and Proboards can get a handle on it. It’s irritating to do but most of the spam comes from just a few bots so it’s not horrible.
According to Proboards, other forums are experiencing the same problem right now. Two possible solutions. I put one in place temporarily until we can decide.
For now, anyone that attempts to make a new account must be vetted by a mod to join. It's not a permanent fix, but it will have to do for now so I don't have to delete 200 spam on a freakin Sunday morning.
