I don't think it's obsolete. "Liking" a post is just for individual posts while "Karma" can be given for anything (like someone PMing you a link, helping you out with a ride to a concert or things like that).
Separate things. People who don't like Karma can turn it off
You made a suggestion. That's fine. Then you were given a good reason why things are the way they are, and yet that didn't seem to be a good enough reason for you. So, it obviously bothers you enough for you to keep commenting on it. So I ask, why does it bother you so much?
You are more than welcome to ask questions, and we gave you an answer or a suggestion. Just because you did not like the answer you have to come back with some passive aggressive "Oh please excuse me for for blah blah blah" crap. You asked about the karma system, we have no current plans of getting rid of it. There is your answer. It may not be what you want to hear but that is it.
I fail to see the connection between "making multiple posts on a message board about Thing" to "Thing bothers me". Does me posting about the karma system bother you? You have now made multiple posts about me posting about the karma system, so it must bother you. Why does it bother you so much?
Cause you gave snarky response to the answer to your question. So I assume that there is some serious problem that you have with seeing other people's "karma." That's why I asked.

If he's truly banned, then yay no more stupid avatars that make me not want to take him seriously for anything! Yes I know I have the option of turning them off, but the majority of them I find quite entertaining. I don't understand why ppl like emoney have to be all big and attention grabbing with their posts and such.
Katy perry bouncing in the wind = YES. Creepy photo of your head on a man-humping disco dancing body = EWWW.
