Infomoog Bar @ Downtown Inn If no one else has volunteered, I would like to host a BYOB happy hour in my room at the Downtown Inn on Saturday afternoon before the shows start. I'm thinking 2pm to 4 pm. Would people show up if I did that?
YES! It was discussed to have the Downtown Inn to be the hub. I think someone else also offered to be the bar room- but I don't remember who or if it was for a certain time? Where ever it is, I'll be there with full arms
Carpooling: I'd like to I'll be coming from the Durham area and would love to pile in with some other people or have them pile in to my car. I'm planning to leave Friday afternoon and return Monday morning. Any takers?
Lowerdeck and I are flying into Charlotte late Friday morning, renting a car and driving to Asheville (it was WAY cheaper!), but I just checked Google maps and I think there is no way that it would make sense to carpool. If I am wrong and we can make something work out, let me know!

Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Lodging: I've got space I'll be at the Downtown Inn and I've got space for how ever many people you want to fit on the other queen bed. I'm staying Friday-Saturday-Sunday nights.
That's great...but you might want to call them to confirm. I made my reservation online (for a room w/2 Dbl beds) on 6.23, and the email confirmation clearly states that... but just now when I called to verify, they say my room has 1 King.
Not.cool.at.all!
They're gonna call me back to see what they can do. We'll see what happens. Either way, I'm bringing a queen sized air mattress just in case.
On a happier note: OPERATION: DOWNTOWN DRUNKFEST commences in T-4! We've got several Inforooster rooms there (you, me, Druid, Zapp?) so let's get this party started!!!

That was probably YoursTruly the resident lushpuppy, offering to be the mixmaster (mixmistress?) for the weekend. I won't be bringing the Booze Ball from this year's Brunch (it had a good run but didn't survive 'Roo) --- but instead, I'll be stocked up on booze (my jug of Druid's homemade apple pie liqueur has been saved especially for this weekend!), beer, cups, party supplies & disco balls.

If anyone ends up with the short end of the stick for beds at the hotel, I have a full-sized air mattress that Druid or Shmohawk could take up with them (if they have room in their car) and let some folks borrow.

For friday just regular first class mail will work. For halloween same thing just regular shipping. :] They're very light so shipping isn't too painful! And regarding etsy as a site to find things, its a great site with sooo many excellent products and it all works through paypal - so transactions are always (at least in my experience) really quick and easy and safe. Also picked up some masks at the halloween store incase anyone wants to dress up and doesn't have a costume. I want to wear the green one for one day but anyone else is welcome to the others.
