If they go with last year's set-up, you guys are gonna love the EDM stage. It's in this natural hillside hollow. Secluded, shade & good sound. This stuff will be perfect there.
I like Bonobo - and I like the add - but there's already so much I want to see Saturday I think I'm going to have a tough time seeing everything I want to see.

Definitely. I'm expecting some nasty conflicts. There's no way I'm going to be able to check out Andrew Bird, Dr. Dog, Galactic, the Stax revue and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. At least one of those has to overlap, I figure. I wouldn't be surprise if I could only see one of those bands, and they're all in my top ten!
Wait a second, where did the Preservation Hall Jazz Band go on the Forecastle site? They disappeared off the Saturday lineup, were replaced with Bonobocop, and now if you click on their name, it says timeslot TBA. Hmmm... moved to a different day? I would be 100% down if they were moved to Friday.

Totally agree! That was my favorite stage...it was a little small but that also allowed for a good view of the stage no matter where you were.
From the Ravenna Colt's twitter (AKA Johnny Quaid): @trishdb810 Yeah, forecastle is gonna be a very special occasion. Dare I say a family reunion of sorts. Honored to be in the family album!
A family reunion sure implies he will be playing with MMJ, which in turn implies we get a bunch of TF and AD stuff!!!
For all the folks saying Basnectar isn't a big enough headliner for Friday... do you realize he's billed above Wilco on the lineup page (sorted by headliners first)?

Fingers crossed, that early stuff is where it's at! Though he did play on ISM too. Either way, JQ's appearances at T5 were the sweetest thing ever, and I can only hope that energy will be duplicated in a rarity-heavy set at Forecastle!

As I understand it, there's usually a separate electronic stage. So, are we expecting Bonobo against MMJ? Girl Talk is also an option, but Bonobo might have a little less overlap in fanbase with MMJ.
Can someone comment on past schedules? I can't find any info online. They have a main stage that alternates with a side stage as well as an electronic stage, right? What is the likely side stage headliner for Saturday? Andrew Bird? Something lower on the lineup?

Is there really much over lap between MMJ and Girl Talk fans? (completely serious question)

Actually, I like 'em both. But there's a big difference: I've seen GirlTalk more than once and that's enough to last me. Last year I saw MMJ on 3 separate occasions; that's never enough.
So yeah, overlap is POSSIBLE...but not very PROBABLE, since most Forecastle attendees are there to do a Victory Dance w/the hometown heroes.

I would think Girl Talk performs on the main stage right before MMJ. The area where they have had the electronic stage in the past isn't all that big. At the last full blown Foecastle Bassnectar went on right before Smashing Pumpkins. So I would assume by billing it would be something similar.

Bonobo > MMJ would be awesome.
I think I may only be going for Saturday, but if I can catch 3 of Dr. Dog/Galactic/Stax Soul Revue/Real Estate/Pres. Hall Jazz Band/Washed Out/Ravenna Colt and then go Bonobo > MMJ + Johnny Quaid that is gonna be well worth the trip.

There wasn't a side stage adjacent to the main stage previously. All stages are in their own respective areas. They had 5 stages at the last one.
If there are 5 stages, maybe Saturday will look something like this?
PHJB, Stax, Galactic, MMJ Wick-It, Washed Out, Bonobo, Girl Talk Ravenna Colt, James Vincent McMorrow, JTE, Andrew Bird The Features, Wye Oak, Real Estate, Dr. Dog Scarlet Smile, King's D&S, Daniel Martin Moore
