I'm at The Courtyard, maybe I'll crash The Galt House. I have never met any of you, so for all I know I could be crashing the wrong party. Either way, alert the front desk I'll be there.

Same here. I feel like I'm really out of the loop with most of these bands simply because I've never even heard of them. And I listen to a TON of music! Maybe I'm just sticking to jamband music too much...I need to broaden my horizons!

OPTION A: Lurk the "Now Playing" thread in the Troo Music Lounge and you'll discover a TON of amazing new tunes!
OPTION B: if you're too busy for Option A, then try subscribing to some new music podcasts. The daily ones are single songs (<5mins to enjoy!) while the weekly ones can be over an hour. I usually listen to the weeklies on Sunday...chill out w/coffee & new tunes.
My recommendations (since I subscribe, too):

Grimes was honestly kind of terrible at Moogfest. The recorded stuff is good, though, so maybe she'll get her live shiz together eventually. Maybe by July?

Sad news. Was it her performance or sound? I've heard bad stuff about the sound at Asheville Music Hall.
Also: Childish Gambino just rescheduled some shows around the Forecastle dates. I can see him being added.

From what I've read lately she has really come into her own live. I will let you know, I'm going to see her at the end of the month.

Part of it was definitely the sound, but the performance was lackluster, too. She mostly just came across as inexperienced, so I'm sure she'll improve over time. And it sounds like maybe she already has.
