Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Anybody camping at the KOA on the other side of the river? We got a spot reserved. From what I understand, the area is bike friendly and we can ride across the bridge?
A dubstep duo from Montreal who, in addition to their own material, have done remixes for lounge disco pals Flight Facilities and fellow Canucks, Metric.
i noticed that insert mentions Flight Facilities, if you guys have never checked them out you need to, its really good stuff. its not dubstep, more disco funk
I've finally decided I like Justin Townes Earle. Now I'm expecting he'll conflict with Dr. Dog or The Features, in which case I won't be seeing him. I'm also really digging James Vincent McMorrow (Irish Bon Iver). I need to stop getting excited about acts before I see the schedule.
If its of any consolation, Bassnectar being a headliner, will be releasing an new EP, VaVaVoom this spring. Id expect to hear quite a few new tracks at Forecastle. Also, just went to the Features @ headliners, it was a great show. For sure one of the bands I will be seeing there. Backdoor...drunk.
I talked to a bartender at Headliners and he thinks they're hosting somebody for an after party. He either didn't know who or didn't want to give it up. Either way, he seems to think there will be more after parties than in previous years. If they do several away from the waterfront, I think Zanzabar, Monkey Wrench, Zazoo's and lots of bars on Main will have some stuff going on. Has anyone heard anything else?
I'm glad they're going to spread the late night shows out this year. It was way too damn hot on that boat last time! I had a spray fan and filled it up with what I thought was water from a nearby cooler. After spraying myself (and other ppl) with it, I realized that I was super sticky. Come to find out, it was Gatorade! ;D

^^ lol. As for the after parties, I would expect the Ice House to be one of the venues, its close to Waterfront Park and has a capacity of ~1000 (total guess). I barely remember it from the Halfway after party, but it was a fairly nice place. I would like to go on the boat this year (didnt get to go for EOTO in '10) depending on who is playing. I could see the Monkeywrench hosting one and probably one of the Bardstown bars, maybe Phoenix Hill??

Hands down the best rock band to ever come out of TN. They've been putting out fantastic stuff for over 15 years. I can't fathom why they haven't become massively popular yet.
So, we should be getting more additions, soon right? After the initial announcement of MMJ, we were promised OVER 75 more acts on the final lineup. Right now, we have 54 (15+20+19). I'm expecting the remaining 22+ to be mostly smaller local/regional acts, but surely we'll be getting a couple more mid-sized acts to keep people talking. I think I heard that Friday starts at 4pm, so I would think the rough breakdown for the 3 days would be 20/30/30. I would assume Sunday would wind down earlier than Saturday, but was told that wasn't the case in the past.
In 2010, the schedule was released in early June and in 2009, it was mid-June. Hopefully it will be then if not sooner this year...
I hope The Vessel or Mantras ends up on the lineup. I almost went to that Features show at Headliners but didn't I think I've said this before somewhere on inforoo, but for the folks that live in Louisville, WFPK has free shows every Friday at noon and you can listen in if you can't attend. You don't have to be a member, but you get free food if you are! It seems like right before festival season, a lot of smaller cafe' acts end up playing. I can't wait for the schedules to be released for Waka and Roo and Forecastle
Desperately wanting some more additions. This is the only festival I'm hitting up this summer (screw being a responsible adult!), so I need something to keep me going for the agonizing months ahead before July 13!

Yes, yell at them to add the Cave Singers. That needs yelled. It's my BDay, that's what I want, and the winning ticket tonight for the Mega Millions. That's all.

"And that's the only thing I need. I don't need this or this. Just this ashtray... and this paddle game. The ashtray and the paddle game and that's all I need... and this remote control. The ashtray, the paddle game, and the remote control, and that's all I need... and these matches. The ashtray, and these matches, and the remote control, and the paddle ball... and this lamp. The ashtray, this paddle game, and the remote control, and the lamp, and that's all I need. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. The paddle game, and the chair, and the remote control, and the matches for sure. Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something!"
Bad news for the Saturday untzers: Bonobo got downgraded to a (DJ Set) and Adventure Club is no longer on the poster (although they're still listed in the band profiles as playing Saturday).

Oh. I was thinking it was a Bonobo DJ set. I honestly don't think he has played with a full band here in the states.
Perhaps they are playing with the poster for additions?
