It is possible but the more I think about it I expect MMJ to be #1 which would likely rule out the Black Keys. I think there is a really good chance MOF close Sunday, but it's me dreaming not actually knowing anything.
So what are y'all thinking in terms of the rest of the lineup? Even though MMJ may be #1, that is surely assisted by their hometown status -- kinda like how Trombone Shorty is in the top ten at Jazzfest. So do you think it is out of the question to have some other substantial headliners, i.e. Wilco?

With AC involved, I don't see why a Wilco-type headliner for Friday or Sunday is out of the question, but that's just me. My guess is they got involved and they are going to want to make this a premier attraction.

I am really crossing my fingers for Bright Eyes. I'd love to see them there. Right now they have no shows listed - I just went to the web site - but that could easily change.

Yes! I would love to see him whether it be as Bright Eyes or with MoF.
The last Forecastle headliners were Smashing Pumpkins, Widespread, Flaming Lips in 2010. That year also included Spoon, Cake, Devo, Drive-By Truckers, Bassnectar, and Umphreys McGee.
2009: Widespread, Black Keys, Avett Bros 2008: Disco Biscuits, Method Man, Tortoise
So as you can see each year the festival has gotten better and better. This was all before the MMJ/AC partnership. So I'm hoping the headliners besides My Morning Jacket are as big or better than they were in 2010. I think now that AC is part if this festival we will see the undercard fill out with more quality acts. Not to mention there is a lot of room in Louisville Waterfront park that has yet to be utilized by Forecastle in the past, which they could possibly use to add another stage or two.
This is all wishful thinking though since the festivals in my backyard. I'll be there every year regardless.
Booked a balcony suite at the Galt House. Bargain. Don't forget to grab yr tix at noon tomorrow everyone!!!
Balcony suite eh? Very nice!
Did the room you grab say "balcony suite" in the full description or are you just assuming that since it has "rooms with balconies" in the hotel description? I only ask because a balcony suite would be effin' awesome and I can't seem to pull one up!

A friend booked it. He's stayed in 'em before. I think they are the corner rooms. Sleeps 6 pp, though we'll pack in 10 or 12. 2 baths and a bar. $129. Maybe call direct and ask?
Ugh, reality is setting in. I may have found money I forgot I had but with my situation it's hard to justify spending $100 on a ticket. I know it will be worth it but jeez, I need the money. I don't know if I should just buy my ticket now or wait to see if things are going to change.
I am fighting off very strong urges to buy tickets right now. I can only afford one festival this summer, and something inside me just can't pull the trigger without seeing the lineup, even though MMJ is clearly enough to get me down there. And with the Roo lineup announcement likely only a few weeks away, I feel like I can't turn my back on the farm until at least giving them a chance to sell me.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
