Maybe he can just fight his brother. Is your brother tough, GL? The trick is to hurt him enough, so he won't want you at the wedding, but watch yourself so you're not too banged up to enough Forecastle.

So my two computers are broke ($400 to repair), my hotel that wasn't prepay in NYC that I'm staying at in two weeks decided to change policies, and take $700 out of my account made me unable to secure the tickets for this. Ive got a hotel reserved, hopefully this doesn't sell out in the next week. I am so excited for this, I think it would be a fantastic time. Is there an informal inforoo meet up planned?
Ya i'm fairly sure you will be alright. I think they said they are expecting about 40,000 people but they never mentioned what the actual capacity is. I'm guessing that it is high enough that the fest won't sell out. We should start a list to keep track of who all is going. It will make meetup organization easier. Copy the list and add your name to it. If you want put where you are staying too.
So I read through the tons of pages of discussion on the Jacket forum. Seems like there is going to be a VIP pit ala Mountain Jam that takes up a portion of the rail. It also seems that there is going to be a single day VIP upgrade for Roll Call members for a discounted price. Although they aren't sure of the details yet.

For what it's worth, the person at Forecastle I spoke to said that for this year, there will not be a VIP pit at the main stage. The VIP area will be elevated, but will still offer a great view apparently.
Also, the VIP upgrade offered through Roll Call will be separate from the VIP offered by Forecastle, and the perks will not overlap. While the Forecastle VIP with an A/C lounge and private bathrooms would be nice, what I'm really excited for is this Roll Call upgrade. Hopefully first dibs on tickets to one of these after shows aboard the Belle!

Ok after some deliberation, i've convinved myself that this summer is all about the music and Forecastle is just too big of a bargain to pass up. Count me in! I will be booking a hotel soon.
I just decided a couple days ago to come too. Sounds too good to pass up. Its also the weekend before my b'day. Was starting to look at this topic earlier this week and went for it.
The thing I'm looking forward to most about Forecastle, this year and in the years to come, is the separate crop of acts booked. There should be very few repeats from Roo. My dream is for us to get all the Wilcos, ect who are at Primavera and other fests in early June.

Yea my bday is during Summercamp, so I'm going there, Roo and All Good to check out the new location, and now here. It's going to be a fun summer! And yes, I like seeing diff artists too which is why I'm not doing Wakarusa, the lineup is too similar to Summercamp and they are only a week apart and its too close to Roo but of all the ones i think this one will be the one with the most "new" stuff I haven't seen live before. Living out here in Hawaii the past few years all i really get to catch is reggae and electronic acts (not that im complaining) but its time to get back to my midwest roots

Wouldn't be surprised to see the collaboration between Jim James, jay farrar, will johnson and anders parker. They are doing that woody guthrie tribute thing. Maybe Son volt also?

I emailed Luceros booking agent about Bonnaroo and Forecastle and received this answer: Not Bonnaroo but maybe Forecastle.. they will be touring this summer
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
