said by some to be the greatest satire in the history of television, South Park is a show i've been watching since season 1 when I was in the fourth grade. 15 seasons later i am 24 years old and still tuning in every wednesday when there is a new episode. tonight they continue their fifteenth and (in my opinion) smartest season yet.
i thought we could use a thread for this show because i KNOW that there are other south park fans on this board.

South Park is one of those things for me that I rarely think, "I want to watch South Park!" but every time I actually do watch an episode, it always makes me laugh. I am impressed that they have managed to keep it funny after so many years.
Overall, I like South Park, there are great episodes (Mr. Jefferson, rich people, Mormons) and crap ones, though (not Mr. Hanky crap, either; I'm not alone in thinking Imagination Land sucked, right?) . Don't think my DVR has been catching new episodes, I'll have to see what's up.
when i was 10 i watched south park because it was a cartoon with swear words.
now i watch it because of its cynical critique on pop culture. i mean they pretty much nail it every time. some episodes, i agree like imaginationland, are less funny than others. but they still do a good job at calling out whatever their target is for the week. it is kind of annoying when they drag out a thin plotline over three episodes though.
I actually loved ImaginationLand, if I had to think of episodes I didn't like, I'd say the one where all the water at the water park turns to piss.
I'd argue that South Park is the smartest show on television. Matt and Trey are my idols.
I also loved Imaginationland. Any time the Christmas Critters are invovled the show is absolute gold. The water park episode was somewhat dissapointing, but man Cartmen's song in that episode was amazing.
On the fence about Wednesday's Episode, but Butters line about the girls getting the vaccine shot in their vaginas did get me laughing really hard
I remember it like it was yesterday. I was living and working the summer at a Mexican restaurant in Alaska. I was camped in the bush, but my friend Daren had a place and Jessie and I were over watching TV. The South Park trailer came on and we nearly pissed ourselves. I remembering thinking coming back to Florida was gonna suck, but 'I can not wait to watch that new cartoon on the Comedy Channel'.

South Park definitely hasn't been as strong the last few seasons, but there are still some good ones. I think SP use to be one of the funniest shows on tv, but now there are plenty of shows that surpass it. (This is coming from someone who watches Happy Endings, so take that with a grain of salt) I thought wednesday's episode was alright. You have to appreciate it somewhat, because I think everyone has had "Fuck life, I'm just getting drunk" moments in their life.
for anyone interested. tonight at 10 they are showing a special on comedy central called "6 Days to Air" that just follows matt and trey and the other people in the studio over the weekly process of making an episode of south park.
Great show. It has definitely had its low points over the course of it's run but for a show that's been on for what, 15 seasons? Sure beats the hell out of Simpsons later seasons.
pretty good season finale. went a little overboard with the Penn State jokes but at least they called themselves out on it halfway through. and probably the best Kenny death ever.
also they were renewed until 2016, which will put them at 20 seasons.
yeah it completely slipped by me as well until I saw the spot on comedy central this weekend.
there were a lot of different preview clips for this season, which maybe means that for once they planned this season out instead of waiting until the weekend before to write an episode.
